Friday Injury Report: Cowboys at Green Bay Packers

by Don Heupel - AP View full size photo » It's a long injury report for the Green Bay Packers . Despite the fact the Cowboys have 5 starters on their injury report, all of them are expected to play. Only ex-Packer KR Allen Rossum is out. The Packers have 4 players out, including starters LB Aaron Kampman and RT Mark Tauscher . I'm not a fan of LB Brady Poppinga , but he's out too. Also, TE Jermichael...

Against Tampa Bay at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, A.J. Hawk will get the nod over Desmond Bishop for a place on the nickel defense, one of coordinator Dom Capers' most heavily used packages.

Midseason Report: the Cleveland Browns' Offense (Part II)

In Part I, I broke down three plays that I felt exemplified the Browns ' offensive woes this season. Here, I will break down two plays that did go our way. The Browns may lack explosive playmakers who could allow us a good offense, but by studying exactly what it is that has (and hasn't) worked for us, a solid offensive coordinator could put together a competent offense without any personnel changes....

The Fight For First Place: Round Two

Some are calling it the "Game of the Century". Others are calling it the "Hostile Homecoming". Still others are calling it "Favre- Packers v.2.0". Me? I call it Week 9 of the NFL season. Admittedly, our opponent this week is eerily similar to the team that handed Green Bay its second loss of the season. We know this team very well, and the only major change is the injury...

A Most Delicious Matchup

Mmm... Browns ... Now, I know what you're thinking. Historically this season, I've been more negative than some of you would care for. I look at it as being more realistic, but at the same time it comes off as having a serious lack of faith in the team. Allow me to attempt to salvage my reputation by coming out and saying that this is easily the best matchup of the year for the Packers and that they...

Hawk makes self scarce

When the final whistle blew at the conclusion of the Packers' victory over the Lions, most players and coaches ambled onto the field to say hello and good luck to each other. One player most certainly did not. A.J. Hawk went into a full sprint off the field and up the tunnel to the locker room.

Monday's News

*** Is it possible that Ohio is turning more Democratic? Ohioans seem to be turning a deaf ear to the Ohio GOP's candidates. Case in point: John Kasich. Cleveland Scene : Sean Hannity was in Northeast Ohio recently for a high-dollar fundraiser for Republican gubernatorial candidate John Kasich, whose fundraising lags far behind Governor Ted Strickland’s.
