Molly LaRochelle Bird of Paradise (1951) …. The six remaining ladies are duking it out for the last 4 slots any of them could get in. If it wasn’t so insanely suicidal and bigoted, it’d be less funny. There aren’t many people that can replicate what guys like Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson bring to the table.’ While you [...]

Positional QB Rankings - Essentially, the Cards are 1½ players deep at QB, led of course by the veteran Warner — coming off leading the Cards to their first Super Bowl appearance. Hall of Fame or not, even in his late 30s he delivers huge passing numbers (4,583 yards, 30 TDs in 2008). The big question: If Kurt got hurt last year, could Matt Leinart have led 'Zona to the Super Bowl? Likely...

HoustonTexans.com is counting down the top-five gutsiest plays in Texans' history in chronological order. There were quite a few game-winning kicks courtesy of Kris Brown and spectacular catches by Andre Johnson. But we had only five slots. Now, we are asking fans to decide which play ranks supreme. Kevin Walter is dying for some real football . If you think fans are excited for the upcoming season, K-Dub is restless. Walter describes himself as a "hungry guy" who's "ready to get after it." I wonder if Dunta and OD feel the same way. They're out of commission for the time being, so it really must pain them to not even be practicing with their teammates. Of course, it's hard...

Debating who the best receiver in the NFL is comes down to two options: Andre Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald ? Pick your poison. Both are dominant receivers that are the focus of the opposing team come gameday. Still, it's hard not to want to support your hometown player in the argument. Most Houston fans will tell you that Johnson is the better overall receiver, while Arizona fans and a majority of the...

Last time I used the relationship between Catch% and AirYards per Completion (yards per completion with yards after catch removed) to give an evaluation of WR hands over the last two seasons. Today with 8 years of data (as far back as I can find YAC info for) Catch% and AY/C remain correlated, allowing for 8 years of hands eval and an attempt at an overall WR ranking. Top 20 Catch% over expected Player...

For years I have listened to my fellow suffering Texans fans complain about the lack of respect our team gets from the national media. No Monday Night games. No magazine covers. Sometimes, even when we would win, our game highlights would show only great plays by the other team, even though they had lost. Finally, in 2005, we were given a nationally televised game on ESPN . We capitalized on that by...

The running back position has been covered. Now to the prima donnas, the popcorn, and the drama. Or should I say, the gun-hoarding, gold grill flashing, girlfriend abusing, fantasy all-stars? At this point, yes, I could say that. But it’s June, it’s warm out, and I’m feeling good about most of the top receivers in this league, [...] Added by: egriffin Viewed: 1 time(s) Tags/Keywords:...

With the division "bloggers" over at ESPN.com digging into their bag of gimmicks, listing top 10 "building blocks" (players you'd choose if your goal was to contend for a title over the next 3 years) I set out to expand on their concept. Building an All-AFC South cast of starters , and now a 45 man gameday-roster that fits under the cap (with room to spare for the inactives). QB:...
