by Paul Sakuma - AP It's going to take a healthy dose of Michael Turner for the Atlanta Falcons to prevail today. (AP Photo/Paul Sakuma) View full size photo uploaded October 25, 2009 Normally I'd say something pithy and relevant up here, but I've got what feels like a battalion of armed germs lodged in my throat and a long day ahead of me, so I'm afraid this will have to do. This should be one hell...

This is a huge blow to the secondary, because Williams was playing quite well since...

@ Date: October 1, 2009 Time: 1:05pm PST Location: Bill Walsh Field @ Candlestick Park, San Francisco, CA Records: 49ers (3-1) Falcons (2-1) Bodoglife.com Spread : 49ers -2.5; Over/Under 40.5; Money Line: 49ers -140, Falcons +120 - A 2.5 point spread is rather interesting. The home team automatically gets 3 points. So I guess oddsmakers view the Falcons as just a touch better minus the home field....

We've got the final injury report for the week and the only big change is several probable players for the 49ers . Having seen the practice reports, and now seeing this lit, probable players really end up being no big deal. However, it sounds like with Marques Harris and Reggie Smith out, Curtis Taylor supposedly might be activated this week. It sounds like it would be primarily for special teams work,...

The 49ers remain a bit banged up this week. I remain convinced part of the reason Dave Baas is struggling is the continued injury issues. I realize he's been practicing a bit (or fully as in today) and playing each week, but it can't be easy to get into a sufficient rhythm to be a successful player. I'd love to hear other opinions, but Baas has definitely struggled and he has definitely been banged...
