Offensive lineman Benji Olson, one of the last remaining Titans from Tennessee's lone Super Bowl appearance in 2000, retired Thursday after 10 seasons with the team that drafted him. Punter Craig Hentrich is now the only player from the Super Bowl squad who has been with the team since then. The Titans recently re-signed defensive end Jevon Kearse, who was a rookie in the Super Bowl but left as a free...

Benji Olson will retire this afternoon. He had hinted at this at the end of the season. This means the Titans will lose both of their starting guards from last season's team with Jacob Bell signing with the St. Louis Rams earlier this offseason. The Titans have signed Jake Scott to replace one guy, and the other will be replaced by either Eugene Amano or LeRoy Harris. Olson has been a class act and...

It is a bit of a slow news day. Nick Harper returned to practice yesterday. He shared reps with Reynaldo Hill and will be a game time decision. Kevin Mawae and Benji Olson both missed practice yesterday. It appears unlikely that Mawae will play. Olson will be a game time decision, but considering this could be the last game of his career, I expect we will see him in there. LenDale White was limited...

There is a good chance that Benji Olson will retire at the end of the season. The game this Sunday will be the 151st of his career. The article also mentions that Jacob Bell is a free agent at the end of the season. Bell is going to command a lot of money, especially considering Drew Rosenhaus is his agent, so it is likely that the Titans will have 2 new starting guards next season. Kyle Vanden Bosch...

Jim Wyatt is reporting that Albert Haynesworth practiced today and looked good. Jeff Fisher said after practice that the biggest test will be how his hamstring responds tomorrow. This is extremely good news. Tony Brown, Chris Hope and Benji Olson all sat out practice today.

Filed under: Titans , Super Bowl , Nashville An interesting story in the Nashville Tennessean today talks about how the Tennessee Titans are down to just two players remaining from the team that lost to the St. Louis Rams in the Super Bowl. Those two players, 32-year-old offensive lineman Benji Olson and 36-year-old punter Craig Hentrich, help demonstrate the transient nature of the NFL, and the way...
