First off, I’m declaring martial law when it comes to the Bobby Sippio-Jeff Webb debate. I got my last word in and so did everyone else. Neither guy is going to do anything this season for the Chiefs, so let’s put it to bed. We sent Bobby off well and gave Teicher what he deserved. [...]

While I’m thrilled to see that A.A. favorites Dantrell “Macho Man” Savage and Maurice Price made the Chiefs‘ final squad, I’m heartbroken to see Bobby Sippio get released. It hurts, but with our youth obsession he was an old man at 28 (a year younger than yours truly…I guess I’m ancient). Additionally, Dwayne Bowe and [...]

In addition to the 17 cuts made "official" this morning , the Kansas City Chiefs released T Will Svitek, G Tre Stallings, FB Chris Manderino, WR Bobby Sippio and LB LeRue Rumph this afternoon. Here is the final, full list of cuts made by the Chiefs in order to meet the 53-man roster deadline. Expect practice squad designations and waiver wire pick ups to happen over the next one to two days. FB Chris...

Hat tip to bannyc9 for finding this list of early cuts from WPI. The rumor is that Bobby Sippio (no!) and Will “Route 71″ Svitek (YES!) have been cut by the Chiefs, but those reports are unsubstantiated rumors at this juncture. Here are the 17 cuts so far, and a nugget of info as well: 1. [...]

The Sippio Cup. It’s an A.A. joke from last season, which I believe was started by commenter xxxlp. I’ll have more on the game later (after I re-watch the game…it’s on a 2 AM CT on the NFLN), but this is the Bobby Sippio I know. When Sippio has both his confidence and the opportunity, [...]

First off, I want to give Bob Gretz some props for his recent Bobby Sippio article. Gretz sometimes comes off as King Carl’s P.R. puppet, but he was as honest and on the mark as he could have been with this one. And, yes, I am Sipp-ing the Sippio Kool-Aid as always. But I think [...]

The difficult decision. The folk hero. The long shot. The fan favorite. This year, once again, thy name is WR Bobby Sippio, the star of Arena football, struggling to make himself known on a rebuilding Chiefs squad during training camp. This is what training camp is all about. You've absolutely got to love this. Sippio has won over no small number of fans on this blog as well as countless other Chiefs...

Seriously, after reading this Red Zone post, I wanted to knock the Turtle Wax off of Adam Teicher’s shiny bald dome. What is that guy’s problem? He treated Bobby Sippio like a red-headed stepchild, and Chiefs fans even worse. Maybe the guy really did nail his sister? Just read this crap… One of the many negative [...]

The Kansas City Star has a new article out in which Adam Teicher raves about our young receivers and how well they played on Thursday night. He discusses Jeff Webb, Maurice Price and Will Franklin extensively, but Bobby Sippio isn’t mentioned. Not once. What gives? Is it his age? I mean, maybe I’m just old, [...]

Seriously - Almost 10 months between victories. 292 days. That’s a long, long time between wins. I forgot how it felt to actually win a game. Was I the only one jumping around last night after Bobby Sippio caught the game-winning touchdown? Probably not. Did I catch myself afterwards and ask "It’s only preaseason - what the hell are you doing?" Yes. I know it’s the preaseason, and these don’t count...

I can't tell you today whether or not Sippio will make the team. My guess is that he won't. But one thing is becoming clear: the wide receivers who will play for the Chiefs when the season begins will come from this group: Bowe, Devard Darling, Franklin, Price and Webb. Not Bobby Sippio. And that's something the billions of Bobby Sippio fans out there will just have to deal with. The myth of Bobby...

Man, it feels good to have our Chiefs back, doesn’t it? It also feels good to break that nine-game losing streak. You saw my players of the game–Bobby Sippio and Brodie Croyle, who’s getting closer to earning that nickname–but now it’s your turn… Who were your top players for each half last night against Da Bears?

Last summer, as the cameras of HBO's Hard Knocks series rolled on the fields of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, former Arena League wide receiver Bobby Sippio flashed across the screen and entered our minds forever. It wasn't his speed (or lack of it) that got our attention but the fact that he apparently didn't drop a ball thrown to him in training camp. Sippio cleared the NFL waiver wire...

Bobby Sippio is still popular with Arena League fans. ( Scroll to the bottom ) Safety Jon McGraw visited his elementary school just north of Manhattan, KS. If you get a chance, you really should watch the Road to the Draft series the Chiefs are doing on KCChiefs.com. The first installment featured Chuck Cook, director of college scouting. The second episode featured Mike Hagan, a scout in the Southeast...

Nick Athan of Scout gives us a Chiefs offensive roster projection. Of note, he says that Samie Parker and Jackie Battle won't be back and that Bobby Sippio will get his chance to play in 2008. Mocking the Draft looks at Delaware QB Joe Flacco. William Kershaw, a former Chief linebacker, was signed by the Broncos yesterday. The Redskins want Chad Johnson pretty bad apparently. You've probably seen...
