Over two years ago, when QB Tyler Thigpen was claimed off of waivers by Herm Edwards and the Kansas City Chiefs , my post on the subject ended with this: " Out of Coastal Carolina, Thigpen appears to be nothing more than a body at the no. 3 QB spot." Eleven starts and sixteen game appearances later, I must confess I was wrong. After the jump, I do my best to chronicle Tyler Beckham Thigpen's...
From the FanPosts. -Chris Many probably find the upstart United Football League as an irrelevancy during the early weeks of the NFL regular season. The UFL barely registers a blip on the sports news radar as its four teams start practice this week in preparation for a six-game season kicking off October 8th on the Versus Network. While the league's marketing slogan is "Where the Future Stars Come...

I thought I'd pass along this news just to show I hold no grudges from my feud last summer with the former Chiefs wide receiver. But I haven't forgotten it, either.
Offensive lineman Damion Cook is out for the season due to a torn triceps muscle. The injury happened on the very first day of practice, but Cook simply taped it up and dealt with it. It recently became apparent that it was a more serious injury, however, as Cook will be headed to Alabama to have surgery done by Dr. James Andrews next week. The Lions placed him on the injured reserve today, ending...

Running backs may have a shot...
