Photograph of Eli Manning by Frank Franklin II/AP The Giants have had two weeks to think about the unraveling of their season. A four-game losing streak punctuated by a last-second loss to the Chargers has put the entire season into question after a 5-0 start. But, New York will get a couple of fortunate breaks this Sunday. Start with the state of their opponent. The Falcons are also 5-4, but they...

Cornerback Aaron Ross is practicing again and it’s starting to sound like he’s going to make his season debut on Sunday afternoon. The thrice-injured former starter is participating in his third consecutive practice, though he is expected to be limited. If his hurtin’ hamstring doesn’t have any setbacks during the week he’ll probably see that action increase. That, said...

Giants RB Brandon Jacobs enters Week 11 against the Falcons with exactly zero 100-yard rushing games this season. The Giants return from a bye week on a 4-game losing streak and Jacobs hasn't topped 86 yards on the ground since going for 92 in Week 4. He has just two touchdowns this season. The Falcons are among the league's worst rush defenses, however.

Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw comes off a bye to face Atlanta at home in Week 11. Bradshaw will face one of the NFL's weaker rush defenses but will do so still running behind Brandon Jacobs . Bradshaw has four touchdowns in his last five games for the G-men but hasn't topped 48 yards since going for 110 against Oakland in Week 5. Bradshaw has never faced the Falcons before.

Last week it was Kurt Warner and Brandon Jacobs due for a fantasy turn-around. This time, it is Aaron Rodgers’ turn. After throwing three interceptions and losing on the road in Tampa Bay, Rodgers and the Packers return home this weekend to face the Dallas Cowboys. Now it still is about midseason in the NFL, but [...]Thank you for reading the latest post from The Hazean. Please visit our website...

Let me preface by saying that this is completely and utterly a theory. I have no inside knowledge to support it. Just something I’ve been considering. As you may remember, Brandon Jacobs signed a big contract extension over the summer. 25 million dollars. Not bad. He’s also set up financially for life. Would Brandon Jacobs, now [...]

Dolphins RB Ricky Williams should play well this week against Tampa Bay, which is No. 30 in run defense. Williams is currently the No. 11 running back with 99 Fantasy points in a standard-scoring league. He is only eight Fantasy points behind Ronnie Brown . Williams has the chance to continue his stellar campaign against the Buccaneers, and he's the CBSSports.com Start of the Week . Williams, 32, has...

Once every season the Giants’ assistant coaches come up out of their offices and check to see whether they can see their shadows
and they get to talk to the media while they’re out. It’s always the most informative day of the year, because the most honest and detailed assessment of a team and its parts always comes from them. There are too many of them talking in too short...

The New York Giants lost to the San Diego Chargers yesterday in heartbreaking fashion. The Giants had a 20-14 lead with just over 2 minutes in the game and couldn't hold it. The defense needed to come up big in the end and once again couldn't do it letting the Chargers drive down the field 80 yards for the winning TD. The Giants defense played much better overall but the bottom line is when they needed...

The Giants’ season has fallen apart in the last month, but according to Tom Coughlin all is not lost. The coach said today that he saw some positive signs in the Giants’ heart-breaking, 21-20 loss to San Diego yesterday. And he remains firmly convinced that there’s still plenty of time for this Giants team to make a playoff run. “That’s what we really believe,”...

Stars Kurt Warner - This was a close one, but I decided to give the edge to Cardinals QB Kurt Warner. Coming off what was probably one of the worst games of his career, Warner went into Soldier Field without Anquan Boldin and threw 5 TD passes in a rout of the Chicago Bears. (Photo by Getty Images) Michael Turner - Michael Turner is back. He shredded the Washington defense for 166 rushing yards and...

Giants RB Brandon Jacobs totaled 11 carries for a team-high 67 yards during a Week 9 loss to the Chargers. He also had one carry for 1 yard. Jacobs still doesn't have a 100-yard game in 2009.

Sunday night is always a time to watch some good football and this week will be no different. The Arizona Cardinals and the New York Giants square off in what should be a great NFC matchup. The Giants are coming off of their first loss of the season and a pretty bad one at that. They took a beating last week against the Saints. The Cardinals were struggling early on, but have finally started playing

TAMPA, Fla. – No last-minute heroics for Eli Manning and the Giants this time. New York pulled a dominant running game off the shelf to pulverize the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from start to finish. Manning threw for two touchdowns and Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw led a resurgence of a strong ground attack that was absent the previous two weeks, helping the Giants (3-0) remain unbeaten with a 24-0 rout...
