The Fist Quarter was absolute bizarro world. The Lions came prepared and played viciously fierce, turning a bounced field goal into a Delmas pick on Defense and a one handed Bryant Johnson touchdown catch. Was this my team? Was this real? Here we are on the road in the West Coast, a place where we [...]

RamView, November 1, 2009 From The Couch (Report and opinions on the game.) Game #8: RAMS 17, Lions 10 * Secondary: It is very difficult to grade the Ram defense today, with Lions receivers dropping passes as if Matthew Stafford was throwing them live cacti. Bryant Johnson burned Ron Bartell deep on the opening drive but flubbed the catch. [...]

ALLEN PARK, Mich. – Jim Schwartz doesn't want his Detroit Lions to play an overly conservative offense. Without Calvin Johnson, he doesn't think he has much of a choice. Even with a bye week to prepare and the return of rookie quarterback Matt Stafford, the Lions (1-6) couldn't move the ball consistently against the hapless St. Louis Rams on Sunday, losing 17-10 to a team that hadn't won a game

This post is sponsored by Comcast's NFL RedZone Channel . Lions - 1 score on 2 chances (1 interception/safety, 1 touchdown) I suppose if you're only looking at whether or not the Lions scored points, then they technically were 2/2 in the red zone against the Rams . Since a turnover happened before the first points were scored, though, I'm not going to count that as a successful trip inside the 20....

MLive.com reports that Lions WR Calvin Johnson missed a third straight day of practice Friday with what is believed to be a sprained knee. Typically if players can't practice by Friday, they don't play on Sunday, which means Johnson is questionable at best to play for the Lions at Green Bay in Week 6. Lions WRs Bryant Johnson and Dennis Northcutt are expected to start with Johnson out.

This post is sponsored by Comcast's NFL RedZone Channel . As mentioned last week, every Wednesday I am going to take a look at how the Lions did in the red zone during the last game, analyzing both the offense and defense. This week I am going back to the Bears game, where the Lions were perfect offensively and not as great on the defensive side of the ball (you can partially blame the offense and...
