It's probably gonna be cold in Chicago during the game, but that doesn't really bother me. I played in Pittsburgh for years so I'm used to the cold. We had a "no sleeve" rule in Pittsburgh so I think I'll be alright out there. But still, any time you spend outside in that type of cold is tough. We don't know if we're gonna have Anquan for this week's game against the Giants, but if he doesn't play someone else is gonna have to step up. That's just how it goes. Whether it's one guy or a group effort, we know we have the players capable of stepping up and playing well in his absence. If Anquan isn't there it won't be the same obviously, but we see what the other guys can do in practice all...

Cardinals Secondary Banged Up

More photos » by Wade Payne - AP Browse more photos » On of my five key match ups may have already been proved erroneous. Bryant McFadden , who likely would have been charged with covering Andre Johnson , has been downgraded to Questionable because of a lingering ankle sprain . Domanique Rogers-Cromartie is also listed as questionable because of a fractured finger. I think it's unlikely...

I would say the bye came at a good time for us because of the way we lost the last game beforehand. It's not like we went in on a winning streak and didn't want to break up the momentum. Our focus as a defense has been on getting back to the fundamentals and footwork. We worked on the little things a lot over the last week or so. Just like against the Colts, stopping the pass is going to be a huge...

Texans Five on Five: Week Five

More photos » by Paul Connors - AP Browse more photos » Nothing like a bounce back game against the worst quarterback in the league, but this week is a much different story. This week the Texans face an Arizona Cardinals team that features a two-time MVP quarterback and the best duo of wide receivers in the league. The Texans secondary certainly have their work cut out for them, and they...

Steelers Rookies Seeing Significant Playing Time

I just wanted to throw this discussion starter out there to see what some of you guys thought - are the Steelers making more little mistakes early on in the 2009 season because they are working in a high volume of rookies compared to in years past? It's fairly well documented that rookies don't often see the field much during their first season in Pittsburgh. There have been exceptions, for sure, but...

Steelers Defense Needs Huge Contributions From Lawrence Timmons In Troy Polamalu's Absence

A couple of thoughts from me about the Pittsburgh Steelers 's defense - a topic that seems to keep creeping in to my mind as I try to determine how the immediate and intermediate future of the team will play out. To start, I'd say that I think the Steelers problems largely lie on the defensive side of the ball. I know the offense has had its struggles. And to be sure, 27 points through two games won't...
