11:35 a.m.: INACTIVES include FB Carey Davis (hamstring), starting DE Travis Kirschke (calf), CB Keiwan Ratliff, G Kraig Urbik, OT Tony Hills, DE Sunny Harris, WR Shaun McDonald with Dennis Dixon as the No. 3 quarterback. All of which means: WR Limas Sweed is active again. We'll see if the one thing he can grab is an opponent's jersey for the second time in a week. So that makes Nick Eason the starter...

If the player is listed as out, they're out for the game. If they did not participate, they didn't practice. If they were limited, then they only participated during a portion of practice (typically means missing 11-on-11 drills). If the player...

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin this afternoon pronounced lightly played fullback Carey Davis "the only significant injury" and ruled him most likely out for their Sunday date against Cincinnati at Heinz Field, though he admitted there is "not much clarity" to the their medical report just a few hours after their 28-10 victory Monday night in Denver.

11:32 p.m.: Sunny. Forty-eight degrees on its way to 50, if not more. Perfect day for football. The fellas are on the field, running and warmng up -- except no sign of The Legend. (No, not Garrett Jones. . . that's another blog.) Brett Favre, who if I remember my history correctly arrived with Leif Ericson and the original Vikings, isn't on the field throwing. His counterpart, Ben Roethlisberger,...

11:40 p.m.: The clock just turned back to the 1970s along the Steelers sidelines. There's Glenn Edwards in his No. 27 jersey giving Kenny Anderson, longtime Bungles nemesis, some grief. There's No. 23 Mike Wagner sneaking up on Anderson's blindside. There's No. No. 33 Frenchy Fuqua, No. 76 John Banaszak, No. 89 Bennie Cunningham, No. 43 Frank Lewis, No. 57 Sam Davis, No. 55 Jon Kolb, No. 46 Reggie...
