A new series here on Behind The Steel Curtain . With training camp still about a month away, why not dive in to one more 'list' - the top ten regular season games of Ben Roethlisberger 's remarkable but still young career. My selection process was not at all scientific; nor was it based solely on statistics. One might think that Big Ben's three games with a perfect quarterback rating would sit atop...
Two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback (!) Charlie Batch recently spoke at the NFL rookie symposium, and warned the youngsters that there's going to be no football in 2011. Per PFT : "Although NFLPA Executive Director De Smith chose to talk to the 2009 incoming class of rookies not about the status of the Collective Bargaining Agreement but about Shakespeare and Nicholas Sarkozy , we're told...
Chance of NFL Lockout "100 percent" A league source says that Charlie Batch warned the rookies at the Rookie Symposium that there's a "100 percent" chance of a league-imposed lockout in 2011. I have no idea how or why Batch would have that information but some speculation is that the owners are throwing that threat out there to help them at the negotiation table.

According to Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com the Steelers' back-up quarterback told rookies at the NFL Rookie Symposium that "there's is a "100 percent" chance of a league imposed lockout in 2011." Pretty bold words from Mr. Batch, but as the article mentions many owners...

If you’re a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, nothing’s more terrifying than the notion of Ben Roethlisburger getting hurt — he’s the face of the franchise and despite Santonio Holmes’ trophy case, Big Ben is the reason why the Steelers have won two world championships in recent years. So, yeah, if he gets injured = nightmare for [...]
