From the FanPosts. -Chris Many probably find the upstart United Football League as an irrelevancy during the early weeks of the NFL regular season. The UFL barely registers a blip on the sports news radar as its four teams start practice this week in preparation for a six-game season kicking off October 8th on the Versus Network. While the league's marketing slogan is "Where the Future Stars Come...

After being selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft, wide receiver Craphonso Thorpe has been pretty much everywhere in the NFL. Now he’s taking his game to another league altogether. Thorpe is working out as a member of the UFL’s New York Sentinels this week as training camp [...]

via Photo Source Not that they ever had him on the list in the first place. Per the New York Times : Plaxico Burress , the former Giants receiver, pleaded guilty on Thursday morning in his weapons-possession case in a deal with Manhattan prosecutors that will send him to prison for two years. Wow. Now, Plaxico was likely never even a consideration in the Kansas City Chiefs search for another wide receiver...

Ok, I stole this from Sklz711 over at Windy City Gridiron ( link ), the Bears blog site. Since things are slow all around the NFL right now and I don't feel like going to bed yet, I decided to rip his format and go over the roster spots for the Titans before they have to reach the 80 man roster limit. Below are the players currently on roster (according to wikipedia , players in italics are rookies)...

If you haven't seen the acrobatics of Georgia's Knowshon Moreno, then you should check it out. He is pretty acrobatic, looks pretty good for a sophomore, and could be a top pick in the 2010 draft, but he also could have the most ridiculous first name I have seen since Craphonso Thorpe. Seriously parents, did you want your kid to grow up thinking that you were completely incompetant? I would think so...

The Giants have waived WR Craphonso Thorpe and claimed Bears WR Macrus Monk off waivers. Monk is 6′6″ and weighs 222lbs and should be a nice, big target for Eli. Monk was drafted by the Bears in the seventh round of the 2008 draft. He played college football at Arkansas. Monk led [...]

It wasn't just the worst game of the Colts season by both offensive and total DVOA. It contained the third worst game by a tight end in the last 12 years. Dallas Clark two weeks removed from a concussion that kept him out of the previous game and flanked by Reggie Wayne, Craphonso Thorpe and Ben Utecht caught only 3 of 10 passes intended for him gaining only 15 yards. eww. Clark was very good the...

Craphonso Thorpe has been signed by another NFL team after spending last season with the Indianapolis Colts. The Jags have signed him to a contract worth $370,000. Big Cat Country believes that Thorpe will be the Jags return man relieving Maurice Jones-Drew of his return duties. Craphonso Thorpe was signed by the Jaguars to compete for [...]

Craphonso Thorpe was signed by the Jaguars to compete for a roster spot. He'll most likely have to make his mark returning punts or kicks, because it looks like the Jaguars aren't gonna let MJD carry that load any longer. Thorpe is 6'1 187lbs and was active 5 games last season for the Colts. He played his college days at FSU and was drafted in 2005 by the KC Chiefs. He's got some catching up to do...
