It certainly feels like there's been a lot of DeAngelo Hall content this week. I'm not going to count posts to see if that's true, but if it is, it's more by accident than by design, and there are two contributing factors: first, because he's going back to face his old team -- a team he left somewhat acrimoniously -- for the first time as a member of the Redskins. That's pretty much always going to...

It took Roddy White, the Falcons' first-round pick in 2005, three years to hit his stride, but he has 208 catches, 3,227 yards and 19 touchdowns in the 39 games since. He's not that big at 6-feet, 212 pounds, but he's acrobatic. DeAngelo Hall, who went to Pro Bowls in 2005 and 2006 with the Falcons while White was battling him in practice, is pumped for his return to Atlanta. He has all three of Washington's...

He doesn't play physically enough. He searches for interceptions instead of staying with the game plan. He talks too much. DeAngelo Hall knows those opinions still exist even after a productive opening seven games for the Washington Redskins. But just as during his messy exit from Atlanta and disastrous half-season with Oakland, he chooses not to care. "They still think of me as the same person,"...

As you know, earlier this week the Redskins demoted Antwaan Randle El on punt returns and made CB DeAngelo Hall the man. We approved of this move, though not the timing of it: I think I speak for many Redskins fans when I ask: Why didn’t this happen sooner? Sure, Randle El has only recently begun [...]

None of these links have anything to DO with Guy Fawkes day, but still. One of the things that's the most frustrating about watching -- and trying to write about -- Redskins practice is that the team, like so many other NFL teams, doesn't actually tackle. It makes it incredibly hard to judge how successful a play actually is, and how good defensive coverage actually is. A guy may get there every time...

Antwaan Randle El will handle the Washington Redskins' first punt return Sunday at Atlanta, and Santana Moss and DeAngelo Hall also will get an opportunity. Translation: It's the same plan used two weeks ago against Philadelphia. "Nothing has changed," coach Jim Zorn said after practice Wednesday. There was speculation Randle El had lost the job. After he was informed of the rumor by the...

Around noon on Monday, reports surfaced via Rick Maese's Twitter that DeAngelo Hall would be the primary punt returner for the Redskins, replacing Antwaan Randle El . By a little more than an hour later, Ryan O'Halloran was tweeting a conflicting report -- one that squared with what I had been told here at Redskins Park -- that both Hall and Randle El would be involved in the return game, along with...

(2006 photo by Streeter Lecka - Getty) This is a big week for DeAngelo Hall. He's going to be far more involved in the Redskins' punt-return game. He's debuting a line of t-shirts. He's blogged about how the Redskins are like a wounded animal. And he has promised to cry if the Skins win in his return to Atlanta. Which got me wondering, during the 44 minutes of awesomeness otherwise known as the Redskins...

As we wrote yesterday, the Redskins have decided to replace Antwaan Randle El with CB DeAngelo Hall as the team's primary punt returner. Considering the punchless offense and the need for help from the special teams, the only question is why this move wasn't made long ago. The answer, of course, is that the Redskins [...]

It's only Tuesday, and it's already been a heck of a week for DeAngelo Hall . Yesterday, he found time to discuss his old team and he reportedly added some more punt returning to his responsibilities. Today, he updated his blog -- We have to regroup as a team and hopefully this bye week helped guys clear their heads and come back ready to finish the season strong. We still have a lot to play for and...

The Washington Redskins have not yet decided what combination of Antwaan Randle El, Santana Moss and DeAngelo Hall they will use to return punts against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. A published report suggested Hall would replace Randle El as the No. 1 returner. However, a highly placed Redskins source said Randle El still is being considered despite a muffed punt against the Philadelphia Eagles,...

With the offense struggling to get out of its own way, the Redskins need to create big plays on special teams. PR Antwaan Randle El hasn't created any big plays, unless you count fumbles that give the opposing team great field position. Randle El has broken a big punt return in a long time, but [...]
