The Panthers visit the Saints in Week 9, and DeAngelo Williams ' Fantasy owners will be hoping the RB can repeat the form he showed in the last meeting with New Orleans, when he racked up 178 yards rushing. New Orleans is a much better defense this season though, as they rank 11th vs. the run. The Saints have allowed nine scores on the ground.

This is the final of three consecutive weeks where six teams have their bye week. Some notable running backs on bye are Minnesota's Adrian Peterson, St. Louis' Steven Jackson and New York's Thomas Jones. That said, here are three running backs that may be a little under the radar that I expect to have a big week: Jonathan Stewart, Panthers : It should be fairly obvious that Stewart's running mate,...

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Buffalo Bills proved a team can trail badly in nearly every statistical category and still win the game. Jairus Byrd had two more interceptions, Ryan Fitzpatrick didn't make a big mistake in his first start at quarterback and the Bills took advantage of Carolina's miscues to beat the Panthers 20-9 on Sunday. Buffalo won despite being outgained 425-167. Carolina led in first

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Jake Delhomme left Arizona a winner, even if he had to take a trip to the hospital before he left town. The embattled Carolina quarterback, whose downward spiral began with a playoff loss at home against Arizona last season, threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Steve Smith before leaving with a chest injury in the Panthers' 34-21 victory over the Cardinals on Sunday. Every week, we provide consensus fantasy football rankings per position (QB, RB, WR, TE, K, DEF) based on that week's matchup. How do we arrive at our rankings? We average out rankings from various sources in an effort to reduce the variability between mainstream sites. We include ESPN, Yahoo! and CBS Sports in our rankings. Here are the top 10 running backs in week 9: 1. Maurice Jones-Drew, Jaguars...

Dockett Gets Docked for Hit on Williams He should have received a 15 yd penalty too: Also from that game, Cardinals DT Darnell Dockett was fined $5,000 for "impermissible use of the helmet (helmet-to-helmet contact)." That one was for a shot to Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams. Cheap shot for sure!

Every week, I pick three games against the spread (ATS) and I am coming off my second 3-0 week in the past three weeks. My record on the season is now 14-10, which is solid, but still worse than last season's record of 63.3% correct ATS, which I use as my personal benchmark. That said, here are my week 9 picks: Panthers +13 (over Saints) : Call me crazy -- after all, I've certainly been called worse...

Last year DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart made a running tandem that we know today as "Double Trouble". D-Will was the speedster and J-Stew was the Bruiser also known as "Smash and Dash" but because of the Tennessee Cry Babies it became what it is today. Double Trouble and the Carolina Panthers offensive line is now the backbone of our team. John Fox has always tried to establish...

"Carolina Panthers (3-4): Any reason not to try RBs DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart in a Wildcat formation? It might showcase the team's best players and reduce interceptions." Again, a case where someone that gets paid to write about football has probably not watched one Panther game this season. Ok, so we do put DW in the "wildcat" every now and then, but unless I missed...
