More photos » by Jim Prisching - AP Browse more photos » That headline could very easily include a whole lot of cursing. This game was SO incredibly frustrating. The 49ers offense was absolutely abysmal for about three-quarters of the game. Then, when the team had fallen far behind, the offense opened up and suddenly was moving the ball with ease. This led to another big game from Vernon...

vs. Date: November 12, 2009 Time: 5:20pm PST Location: Bill Walsh Field @ Candlestick Park, San Francisco, CA Records: 49ers (3-5) Bears (4-4) Bodoglife.com Spread : 49ers -3; Over/Under 43; Money Line: 49ers -175, Bears +155 - Minus three means pretty much a dead-even matchup. I'd imagine a lot of folks are looking to cash in on the Bears. I'm taking 49ers and the under. Weather : 59 °F, 13mph...

I know all of us were a bit concerned by all the players on yesterday's injury report . However, as today's report shows, virtually all the "limited" and "non-participants" were full participants today. Yesterday's report was a projection because there was no actual practice, so I'm guessing the team was just being a bit more conservative. Of course, Glen Coffee is not going to...

Fooch's Note: As those who have read these posts can attest, smileyman has putting together an extremely impressive rundown of the 49ers play-by-play each of the last few weeks. I think it's only fair to move these to the front page as he posts them. Given the length, I've moved it almost entirely after the jump. Here is this week's play-by-play. Screen shots are taken from the NFL's Game Rewind, so...

Morning everyone. Well, it's gameday. Today the Titans come to San Francisco to lose... I mean play the 49eers in what should be a slaughter... I mean good game. Still, I'm excited, though kind of in a hurry considering I have to rise very early so I can make the two and a half hour drive to SF and get there early enough to pull out the BBQ, table, ice chest and of course the laptop for parking-lot...

Fooch's Note: As small a comment as this was in the Chronicle article, it's obviously worth moving to the front page for discussion. To save space I moved most of the FanPost after the jump. For those wondering, Coffee returned 2 kicks for 25 total yards at Alabama in 2005, but does not appear to have any other kick return experience. Hmmmm...... Not sure if this is posted anywhere else but it says...

As has been pointed out in a FanShot and in comments earlier , Mike Singletary announced during his press conference that Allen Rossum was given his release. It's not exactly shocking given the fact that he was inactive the last two weeks. He had some back issues this past week, but if he had been in the teams plans for the rest of the year, he would have been active and returning kicks. In a related...

Mountain Man: I'm gonna make you squeal like a pig. Weeeeeeee! Bobby: Weee! Mountain Man: Weeeeeeee! Bobby: Weee! Substitute "Falcons" for "Mountain Man" and "49ers" for "Bobby", and you get a full, complete understanding of what happened yesterday afternoon at Candlestink Park. Oh. My. God. After a game like that, there are just two related questions to ask:...
