My ITI spies have struck gold again. They got their hands on another clandestine meeting between Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb yesterday. It’s been a long couple weeks for the Eagles, but thankfully it looks as if the fearless leaders of gang green are ready to right the sinking ship. Whew! That’s good news because I [...]

Eagles (-3) over BEARS National spotlight. Back in his hometown. What more could Donovan McNabb ask for? Maybe another run for him and his mom with a Campbell's Soup commercial? Or, a stinkin' win. At 5-4, the Birds could really use a W. It's not panic time because the NFC East

DONOVAN McNabb doesn't make guarantees. Those often tiresome proclamations of certain victory in a crucial upcoming game just aren't his style.

DONOVAN McNabb played the "must-win" card yesterday. Fascinating, that is. He talks a lot these days about how young this Eagles team is, about how veteran leadership is lacking, and now a quarterback whose tendency is to say nothing (in as many words as possible) has chosen this moment to draw a bright line in the shifting sands. To repeat, fascinating.

About three weeks ago, Eagles fullback Leonard Weaver requested that he be able to watch Donovan McNabb pass the ball on first and goal situations from a recliner, but Andy Reid refused and made him watch from the sidelines like everyone else. On Sunday, Reid finally caved in and gave Weaver ...

THE FINAL play for Brian Westbrook in the Eagles' 31-23 Sunday loss at San Diego came in the third quarter. Westbrook went out for a screen pass from Donovan McNabb, the sort of play he'd been involved with countless times before during his eight NFL seasons, when things went very, very wrong.

From: Gonzalez, John To: Ford, Bob; Fox, Ashley Subject: Don't call it a comeback After the Chargers game, Donovan McNabb said he tried to lead the team on a game-winning drive but there wasn't enough time. He was probably right about that (this time). The clock was all but exhausted and the Birds had no time-outs. Still, people took the opportunity to bash McNabb for failing (yet again) to marshal...

WHEN DONOVAN McNABB was asked Sunday about the impact of losing Brian Westbrook again, the quarterback talked about the importance of veteran leadership. It was a theme McNabb brought up earlier in the season, when asked what the loss of Kevin Curtis meant to the receiving corps.

The chilling news came down not long after Donovan McNabb took aim at rookie running back LeSean McCoy and fired incomplete on third down from the San Diego 7-yard line for the Eagles' third straight red-zone failure. Everyone in the press box was wondering where Brian Westbrook was on that play. The answer came when an announcement was made that he had been removed from the eventual 31-23 loss to...

LANDOVER, Md. – Sherm Lewis might want to go back to bingo. Or, better yet, he might want to apply for a job as the Philadelphia Eagles' play caller — it's a much easier job with someone such as DeSean Jackson on your side. Jackson scored on a 67-yard reverse and caught a 57-yard touchdown pass in the first half, and the Eagles converted three turnovers into points Monday night in a 27-17 win over...
