The Lions have confirmed that they have signed Larry Foote to a one-year deal. Foote is now officially a member of his hometown team and likely is already the starter at middle linebacker. With him, Ernie Sims, and Julian Peterson, the Lions' group of linebackers looks pretty darn good. The secondary is also much improved. The Lions re-signed weak-side linebacker Anthony Cannon on Oct. 25 after releasing him Sept. 2. Cannon was originally drafted as a seventh-round selection in the 2006 NFL draft.
