These have been tough to do for a while, but I don't think it has been any tougher than right now. This team is ridiculously deep. There is talent at every position and for most of them the backup has been a starter recently or could be a starter on a lot of teams. This will be great for special teams with the talented backups like Melvin Bullitt , Freddie Keiaho and Tyjuan Hagler . I think that this...

I haven't done a roster prediction in a while, and there is no better time than after minicamp. This will be tough, especially for the D-line. It is in order by depth chart as always and I'm including numbers too. There will be a lot of changes because of rookies and signings. This team won't be too similar to the team last year, but it will be much better. The defensive tackles are so deep, and there...

by Matt Snyder Filed under: Colts , AFC South Despite likely losing his role as a starter, Freddie Keiaho has signed an apparent one-year contract to remain with the Indianapolis Colts , ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports. The 26 year-old outside linebacker had been non-tendered by Indianapolis, but it appears circumstances have brought him back to the team for whom he has played his only three NFL...

Per Len Pasquerelli of the ESPN.com, the Indianapolis Colts have re-signed linebacker Freddie Keiaho . Although terms of the deal haven't been released, Keiaho's contract is believed to be a one-year deal. Keiaho, who was drafted by the Colts in the third round in 2006 , has started the past two seasons. He recorded over 100 tackles in both seasons. The Colts plan to move Clint Session to weak-side...

Bills Host Former Colts LB Freddie Keiaho A two-year starter on the Colts at weak-side linebacker, Keiaho met with Bills coaches today. Last season he had 114 tackles, 2 QB pressures, and 2 fumble recoveries playing in Indy's Tampa 2. Look's like we are pretty serious about signing a free agent linebacker guys.

With Thursday's injury report and some updates from folks like PhilB at the Indy Star , we now have a pretty good idea of who is playing Saturday night against the Chargers : Gary Brackett is out for Saturday night. Freddie Keiaho will start at MIKE . Buster Davis has been benched, though the Colts aren't saying it. He was sat down in the 4th quarter of the Jaguars game in Jacksonville two weeks ago,...

Fanhouse looks at the run D AOL fanhouse writer JJ Cooper goes to the game tape to find the source of the Colts struggles in run D last week. He puts the blame on a scheme designed to stop the pass and that gambles on the run and on OLBs Freddie Keiaho and Clint Sessions. He cites examples of poor reads, angles and tackling by both the Colts outside LBs. He does not mention shedding blocks as a problem...

Colts LB Freddie Keiaho started for the departed Cato June , who left the Colts as a free agent for Tampa Bay. Keiaho started 11 games and finished with 81 tackles (64 solo), one sack and one interception.

Freddie Keiaho, unlike Cato June, can actually tackle someone. Photo: AP Much of the pre-season "power rankings" crap has had the Colts in second or third mainly because the Colts have simply "lost too many key players." Later this week I'll post an evaluation of these "key players," but before I do that I will make a rather drastic and (gasp!) bold prediction: The Colts...

So, Mini-Camp is concluded. What did we learn? Freddie Keiaho is the starting WILL with virtually no one challenging him. This is a little disturbing in that last season Gardner was the undisputed hier apparent to the WILL position at LBer when David Thornton bolted. We know how that turned out. Keiaho, like Gardner, was a third round pick. We know how third round picks have faired in the Polian era....
