Obviously there won't be a playoff spot given out to anyone in Week 9, but in a weekend with marquee games, the one between the Ravens and Bengals could shift not only the AFC North race, but the AFC wildcard hunt as well. The game takes on a greater meaning for the Ravens as the team tries to avoid being swept at the hands of the Bengals, who already won in Baltimore this season. Dropping two games...

Once again, there are no players listed on the Baltimore Ravens Injury Report as "out" after today's practice. However, long snapper Matt Katula (elbow) and DT Haloti Ngata (ankle) still are on the "Did Not Participate" list, which is not good. You almost never hear about the long snapper unless it is not good. It is also my recollection that our backup long snapper is none other...

Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening, we'll (TRY TO) update the practice/injury chart leading up to Sunday's game. The chart is pretty self-explanatory. If the player is listed as out, they're out for the game. If they did not participate, they didn't practice. If they were limited, then they only participated during a portion of practice (typically means missing 11-on-11 drills). If the player...

Team still close-mouthed about defensive tackle's status The prospect of facing Cedric Benson and the Cincinnati Bengals without defensive tackle Haloti Ngata isn't exactly an ideal scenario for the Ravens considering the way Benson pushed Baltimore's defense around the last time the teams met, but it could happen this Sunday.

The Baltimore Ravens released their Injury Report for Wednesday. While there is no one listed as "out" for the game, the list of "Did Not Participate" is unusually long for the team, but should be pared down as the week progresses. So far the following players did not participate in Wednesday's practice: Prescott Burgess (illness), Matt Katula (elbow), Haruki Nakamura (chest), Haloti...

Ravens coach John Harbaugh wouldn’t comment on Haloti Ngata’s sprained right ankle. “As with all injuries, we’ll have an injury report on Wednesday,” Harbaugh said during Monday’s news conference. But Ngata’s injury isn’t considered serious. The starting defensive tackle left with 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter Sunday and didn’t return....

Ahhh the feeling of coming off of the bye week. I actually had to care about other teams for 2 days. Denver and Baltimore both get 2 weeks to prepare what should shape up to be a pretty damn good game in week 8 when the Broncos visit the Ravens. The Ravens are a 3.5 point favorite as I type this, and I don’t see that moving. Denver (6-0) heads into the game ranked 2nd overall in team defense...

Haloti Ngata believes the Ravens’ defense is unstoppable on most occasions. Unfortunately, whenever a few members of that unit experience a small slip in concentration, opposing teams have made them pay.
