The New York Jets have waived linebacker Craig Kobel, safety Nate Ness, quarterback Chris Pizzotti and wide receiver Huey Whittaker. Kobel played in the Arena Football League last year. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the Falcons made three cuts Sunday with DT Jason Jefferson , DT Tywain Myles and LS Robert Shiver . Jefferson struggled through training camp with a groin and hip flexor injury. He played in 13 games last season and made one start.
