With the trade of TE Tony Gonzalez to the Falcons, players at the position already on the Falcons roster will be pushed back on the depth chart and possibly off the roster. This includes TEs Justin Peelle , Ben Hartsock , Jason Rader and Keith Zinger .

Ben Hartsock Placed On Injured Reserve Rotoworld hasn't sourced this yet, but it appears Ben Hartsock has been placed on injured reserve. The team has re-signed tight end Jason Rader. Hartsock will be missed for his terrific blocking skill in both the running and the passing game.. It's unclear how the Falcons will approach their tight end situation now, as Justin Peelle doesn't have a reputation as...

They caught no passes in a 27-14 loss to the Eagles last Sunday, a first for an opposing tight end corps against the Birds' defense this season. Going into the game, Eagles defensive coordinator Jim

Falcons Bring Back Wayne Gandy The Falcons are clearly concerned enough about Todd Weiner's knees that they're willing to bring back Wayne Gandy, who is--how to put this delicately--old. The team also released TE Jason Rader to make this roster spot possible. Thoughts?

I'm completely torn on these moves. On one side of things, Justin Peelle is an immediate upgrade from Jason Rader. Peelle can block a little and potentially catch a lot, which means he could blow past Martrez Milner on the depth chart before too long. With this pickup, the Falcons' tight end corps goes from being the worst in the league to still the worst in the league with some upside. I'll take...
