The Dolphins also cut six players this morning, including WR Brandon London, to get down to their 53-man roster and 8-man practice squad. The six players are: London, S Courtney Bryan, OT Brandon Frye, LB William Kershaw, CB Joey Thomas and DE Rod Wright. Each player ended last season on the 53-man roster.

Well today is the day. By 4 pm eastern, the Dolphins will have their roster down to 53 players. Of course, we know that's far from a "final" roster. The Dolphins will likely be actively looking to turn over the bottom of the roster as other teams make their cuts to get down to the 53 man limit. But we'll worry about that as it happens. The body count started to decrease for the Dolphins on Friday, as they released cornerbacks Joey Thomas and Will Billingsley. It will continue to fall Saturday as they get down to 53 players and perhaps below by the 4 p.m. deadline, perhaps by the 10:50 a.m. practice.

Lehan's season over, placed on IR CB Michael Lehan, who signed a 3 year deal worth nearly $5 million this past offseason has had his season cut short when he was placed on Injured Reserve today - ending his season. Joey Thomas was re-signed to take Lehan's roster spot. It'll be interesting to see, now, if Jason Allen gets a chance at more snaps at cornerback.
