Dolphins 24 @ Panthers 17 : I hate the Panthers!! Earlier in the week I commented that Ricky Williams is probably a better all round back than Ronnie Brown. I think tonight he took a big step towards proving that. I also mentioned when I was making my pick that there was a good chance the Panthers might get too excited about the reasonable success of their passing game last week. And surprise, surprise,...

When fans first looked at Thursday's matchup between the Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers, they expected to see four of the NFL's best running backs square off against each other. However, an injury to Dolphins starter Ronnie Brown and injuries to both Carolina running backs Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams may mean the only running back left will be the Dolphins' Ricky Williams.

Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is questionable for Thursday's game against Miami with a lingering Achilles injury. He practiced in full Wednesday after sitting out Tuesday with a sore Achilles' tendon, which has been commonplace for him leading up to a game. Stewart has not missed a game this season.

Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart didn't practice with the team on Tuesday, a day after the team said he wouldn't have practiced even if they had held one. This has been par for the course for Stewart, who has been on the injury report all year with an Achilles injury but has not missed a game.

The Panthers have issued an unofficial injury report Monday for Thursday's game vs. the Dolphins, and RB Jonathan Stewart was on it. Even though the Panthers didn't hold an official practice, Stewart wouldn't have practiced had one been held as he maintains his Achilles injury. This has been par for the course for Stewart, who has been on the injury report all year but has not missed a game.

Somehow, the Bills surrendered a ridiculous 318 rushing yards to the Jets — including a team-record 210 to Thomas Jones — and won last week. Now along come the Panthers, who last week rushed for 267 yards —DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart each went over 100 — in beating the Bucs.
