The Seahawks look for their second home win of the season, while the Lions travel to Seattle try to avoid dropping five in a row. Last week, Detroit had no answer for running back Steven Jackson and fell to the Rams 17-10. Seattle was able to hang around with Dallas for a while, but when it was all said and done, the Cowboys had earned a decisive 38-17 win. Back at home Seattle’s lack of offense...

I will post notes for the third and fourth quarter tomorrow. I wonder sometimes when a player is cut - what was the play that put them over the edge? What did Edgerrin James do that ended his Seahawks...

We know that Julius Jones isn't exactly a stud Fantasy option, but he might end up being one in Week 9 when the lowly Lions come to Seattle. Detroit is giving up an average of 105.3 rush yards per game to opposing primary running backs over their last contests with two rushing touchdowns allowed. Jones has been awful in his last four games (164 total yards, no TDs) but should not only do well against...

The struggling Seattle Seahawks have released running back Edgerrin James. The Seahawks made the move Tuesday, two days after a lackluster 38-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. James signed with Seattle in late August hoping to revitalize a career that fell flat after moving from Indianapolis to Arizona. In seven games as the backup to Julius Jones, James had just 46 carries for 125 yards and no scores....

Edgerrin James has been waived by the Seahawks, according to ESPN. The move hints that Justin Forsett will see an increased role over the rest of the season as the primary backup to starter Julius Jones . Forsett, who does work on special teams, has just 19 carries but for 109 yards (5.7 avg.) this season with 11 catches for 95 yards.

Edgerrin James has been waived by the Seahawks, according to ESPN. The move hints that Justin Forsett will see an increased role over the rest of the season as the primary backup to starter Julius Jones . James ran to 10th all-time in rushing yards after a 17-yard effort in Week 8, giving him 12,246 for his career. He's less than 40 yards away from topping Marshall Faulk for ninth all-time.

The drive never recovered from its first big attempt. Matt Hasselbeck targeted John Carlson and nearly threw an interception to Gerald Sensabaugh . Justin Griffith motioned out of right trips to fullback and Julius Jones picked his way up the middle for ten. Part of Griffith's value is that he guides Jones where to rush. On a previous run I didn't detail, Griffith and Jones started slight-right, but...

Julius Jones is trying a different approach to this Dallas homecoming. Last year he had Seattle's date against his former team circled and highlighted beginning seven months before the Seahawks played at Dallas. Then Jones fumbled twice and was benched, part of Seattle's disastrous Thanksgiving Day loss. This week, Jones seems like he's trying to sneak back to Dallas to play Sunday against the team...
