Saturday Morning Thought: Is The Oakland Raider Offense Aw-fence-ive or Uh-fence-ive?

I was starting to write the second piece of the Aw-fence-ive First Half Break Down, when my mind began to be amused by the duality of the word that is spelled "O-F-F-E-N-S-I-V-E", so I turned to Dictionary.com for a closer look as the break down of the word. Here is what I found: The root of the word, "Offensive", begins with the Latin Word for "Us", Offens, then goes...

Raiders' Justin Fargas: Pigeon on Field Was Spirit of Marquis Cooper

by Michael David Smith Filed under: Raiders During Sunday's Eagles-Raiders game, a pigeon went onto the field, stopped briefly near where the Raiders were lining up for a kickoff, and then flew downfield in the same direction as the Raiders' coverage unit. It made for a funny viral video, but one Oakland player, Justin Fargas, thinks it was much more: He thinks the pigeon was the reincarnation of...

Louis Murphy threw two key blocks to spring Zach Miller's 86-yard touchdown catch, Justin Fargas ran for 87 yards and Oakland's defense harassed Donovan McNabb all day in a victory over visiting Philadelphia on Sunday.
