Each Wednesday we'll bring you a Q&A with a Ravens player to help you learn a little more about the team. Today's guest is defensive tackle Kelly Gregg, who is tied for fourth on the team in tackles with nine and is part of a defense that ranks first in the NFL against the run. Gregg chatted about playing in his first regular-season game in more than a year, matching up against one of the toughest...

Consider that during this era of free agency, player tenure with a single organization is getting shorter and shorter. At the same time, players are getting bigger, stronger and faster. So how is it that a supposedly undersized and overlooked defensive lineman is enjoying such a long and storied career with the Baltimore Ravens? Just how does Kelly Gregg do it?

In the Ravens' Week 1 win vs. the Chiefs, defenders Jarret Johnson (two sacks, three total tackles), DT Kelly Gregg (six total tackles), LB Ray Lewis (six total tackles) and DB Ed Reed (five total tackles) all contributed. DL Trevor Pryce also had a sack, a tackle and a forced fumble.

Chiefs LG Brian Waters vs. Ravens DTs Kelly Gregg and Haloti Ngata Waters, in his ninth season, has played in four Pro Bowls and 38 consecutive games. He's big for a guard, and mobile. The Ravens like to move their tackles around, so Waters will get some plays against as many as three tackles. Gregg and Ngata are a load and too much for the Chiefs to handle. Edge: Gregg and Ngata. Ravens vs. Chiefs:...

According to a WNST, the Baltimore Ravens " may " have a picture of Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson in their facility as motivation. LJ was the last back to rush for over 100 yards against the Ravens in 2006. The only question is, what picture is it? On that day, LJ rushed 23 times for 120 yards including a long of 47 yards. Ultimately, however, it wasn't enough as the Ravens...

Yesterday in Part One, we took a closer look at the individual members of the Ravens defense, the personnel who've both come and gone and the sheer level of talent the Chiefs will be facing in Week One. Here in Part Two, the question is: what can the Chiefs do about it? As we noted in Part One, the sketchiest part of the Ravens defense is their secondary - for reasons we already broke down here. Thus,...

The Baltimore Ravens were fantastic last year, getting within a game of the Super Bowl. In last season's magical run, the Ravens went 11-5 in the regular season and knocked off both the surprising Dolphins and mighty Titans in back to back weeks before succumbing...

It’s terrifying, worse than any nightmare. Worse than the recurring flashbacks of tuning into Hard Knocks in 2001, knowing exactly what was going to happen to Jamal Lewis’s knee. Actually, that’s not true. The knee thing was like something out of Saw, watching the whole season fall apart under Kelly Gregg’s massive frame. You never want [...]

The Ravens , along with all other NFL teams, cut their roster to 75 players today. Between now and Saturday, September 5th, the Ravens will need to decide which players will make their final 53 man roster. Luckily, the coaching staff and scouts have one more preseason game that should help them make their final roster cuts. This process is extra important to the Ravens, who have one of the leagues...

The Baltimore Sun reports that Kelly Gregg returned to practice Monday. Gregg missed last season due to microfracture surgery on his left knee. "It's just one of those deals. I've got to get out there and do a little work. They're starting to call me Mr. Glass around here."

The Baltimore Ravens are not unlike most any other NFL teams in that they've had their share of injuries in Training Camp as well as pre-season. Luckily, other than Adam Terry and Marcus Smith, both looked at being reserves anyway, the team has escaped the devastating loss that could drastically affect a team's season. After the game Monday night against the New York Jets , a couple of other injuries...
