Seattle's defense came alive in the second half. Not in any one particular game, but throughout the preseason. Seattle's defense came alive when the starters sat. The standout performances of Nick Reed , Michael Bennett, Derek Walker and Will Herring contributed to that. The drop in talent of opposing offenses contributed. The scheme contributed made it happen. The defense went from vanilla to spumoni....

Seattle will keep all of its draft picks at the cutdown. That would make Cameron Morrah the team's No. 3 tight end and would put safety Courtney Greene on the roster. Per O'Neil at the Times Laury signed to a one-year contract. Contract terms for Lewis remains undisclosed. Tim Ruskell has been busy today. On that note, I'm off to go celebrate my grandfather's 70th birthday. John's enjoying some well deserved time off and Aron is out and about. Play nice, everyone.
