TAMPA - Joe Gardi said he knew it from Day One. The former Hofstra coach visited Bucs training camp Friday at the invitation of head coach Raheem Morris, who played in Gardi's secondary, along with future NFL safety Lance Schulters, in the mid-1990s.

Safety Lance Schulters signed with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints become Schulters's fifth NFL team after previous stints with the San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins. FOXBOROUGH - Jabar Gaffney likely could have been forgiven had the flying body of Dolphins safety Lance Schulters thrown him off. Schulters, after all, took a not-so-graceful (and not-so-savvy) leap toward Gaffney as the wide receiver flew down the left sideline.
