To the untrained eye, it looked like Lions linebacker Larry Foote excelled in the first six games, then struggled in the next three. The stats supported that.

We are going to be seeing a lot more of DeAndre Levy , because Ernie Sims is likely going to miss 1-2 months of action with a Grade 2 tear in his hamstring. The original hope was that Sims would only miss a couple weeks with his hamstring injury, but according to the Free Press, a tear like this takes 1-2 months to heal. Levy will step in as the starter to replace Sims, which will be a great opportunity...

The Lions and linebacker Larry Foote have not discussed a contract extension. They're 1-5, and it's early yet. But Foote would like to get something done at some point. "Which player wouldn't want an extension?" Foote said Thursday, smiling.

After Tuesday, I started to gain more confidence after learning that Stafford had returned to practice. My confidence grew even more...
