Cincinnati Bengals vs Baltimore Ravens Bengals: So they beat the Packers and the Steelers then nearly lose (or tie) the Browns. They'll have a tough test this week when they head to Baltimore and although they've been playing better when matched up against tough teams, I don't see the Bengals pulling an upset here. Palmer will be blitzed often, Benson won't have any running room and the Bengals will...

The following is a column I had been working on, written yesterday, regarding the Jets' situation at wide receiver. Unfortunately, it never got into print, but I thought it would be useful in this space, explaining why they needed to make a trade. I didn't change a word from yesterday, scout's honor. Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum has made a bunch of smart moves since the end of last season _ changing coaches,...

The Jets traded for WR Braylon Edwards on Wednesday, giving WR Jerricho Cotchery a new partner to share the field with -- something he hasn't had since Laveranues Coles left the team. Cotchery has easily been the Jets' best receiver this season, catching 23 passes for 356 yards and a touchdown through four games. But his stats might dip a little bit once Edwards becomes more involved in the New York...

The Cincinnati Bengals is why the city of Cincinnati is seeing the biggest surge of admissions to cardiac hospitals after Cincinnati beat the Cleveland Browns in overtime. Not just overtime. The game winning field goal kick was made with seven seconds left in the game. Through much of regulation, the Bengals offense struggled and the Browns offense moved the ball extremely well. When overtime came,...

Green Bay — It's the first quarter of the Green Bay-Cincinnati game at Lambeau Field two weeks ago, and the Bengals had just marched 63 yards in seven plays for a touchdown on their opening drive. Quarterback Carson Palmer hit a wide-open Laveranues Coles with a 5-yard strike when the voice broke the silence in the Lee Remmel Press Box atop Lambeau Field. "Where the hell is everybody?"...

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. – Brett Favre has thrown to Bernard Berrian only in practice. Even those opportunities were limited while Berrian recovered from a hamstring strain suffered in the first preseason game a few days before Favre signed with the Vikings. Berrian's speed and status as the team's top deep threat naturally makes him one of the biggest beneficiaries of Favre's strong arm, no matter how...
