Lousaka Polite NOT a free agent Not sure why the South Florida media is saying this, but Lousaka Polite is NOT a free agent this year. Polite signed an extension back in May to keep him in Miami through 2011. A quick search of the NFLPA records indicate that Polite is indeed signed through 2011. I guess some of the journalists in South Florida should act more like journalists and do their research....
Dolphins fullback Lousaka Polite might be playing at a Pro Bowl level and drawing attention for it from a small cult of fans and media. But maybe part of the reason Polite can be so consistent is he keeps his mind at the level of the 53rd player on the roster.
More photos » by Gene J. Puskar - AP Exactly what I hope not to see on Sunday - minus the "1" on the jersey number. Browse more photos » Let me start off by saying first that Lousaka Polite was robbed and it's a damn shame. He should be a Pro Bowler this season and it's a joke that he was snubbed. It's a complete joke. Anyways, while many want to look ahead to the offseason already...
Update: The official Pro Bowl rosters are here . The only Dolphin to make it is Jake Long - who will start at tackle along with fellow second-year tackle Ryan Clady of the Broncos. This is Long's second time being named to the Pro Bowl in just his second season. But it's the first time Jake was named a starter. Congrats to him! Meanwhile, Lousaka Polite was robbed at fullback - as Baltimore's Le'Ron...
The Pro Bowl rosters will be announced this evening on NFL Network. While there will no doubt be the usual contingent of worthy snubs among the reserves (which we will go into after the announcement) it's generally hard to mess the starters up too badly, save for the four or five guys who get in solely on popularity or reputation. To guard against that, this is what I see as the most deserving starting...
There isn't much more Dolphins fullback Lousaka Polite can do. He can keep pounding away for more first downs, but he already has been doing that all season. He could lobby publicly for more Pro Bowl votes, but he simply is not that kind of guy.
The Miami Dolphins running game has not been stalled because of the season-ending injury to Ronnie Brown. The Dolphins attack is multi-faceted and, in many respects, relies on the intelligence, guts and effectiveness of fullback Lousaka Polite. The 6′0″, 250 pound masher out of the University of Pittsburgh has played for the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago [...]

Sorry for the delay on this week's Game Balls. I wasn't able to watch the game on Sunday (listened to it on Sirius), so I didn't want to put these out there until I actually had seen the game. I watched it last night, so here they are: 1-yard Game Ball. Channing Crowder and Cameron Wake . These two will each get one yard for the final New England play of the game. With the Patriots looking to make...
You can all stop holding your breath, I'm back with Part 2 of the NeedTracker Series. In this installment, we'll take a look at the offensive side of the ball. Thank god we won't be attempting to find a QB, but there are places that could use an upgrade on offense (cough-WR-cough). Enough of me yapping, let's get to the breakdown. Make the jump. The Offense I'll change it up a little and start with...
