Hello there everyone. So I emailed Fooch the other day after I realized that Ninjames (that slacker) had not been doing the Madden simulations every week. He then gave me the privilege of doing it so here I am. I make sure I have the most updated rosters, take out injured players from the depth chart, and make sure everything else is good with the rosters. So for this simulation, I took Nate Clements...

If they win and establish the first streak (winning or losing) of the season, the Texans will be in the driver seat heading into the Buffalo and then a string of four pivotal division games. If they lose, then the chances...

There are a variety of reasons to enjoy having Mike Singletary as head coach of the 49ers . You might like his take no bull attitude, you might like his motivational nature, or maybe you just love the fact that he does what's right and is settin the style . Generally people seem to like Mike Singletary but one criticism that has come up is his abilities to contain his emotions. This past Sunday, his...

Mike Singletary: “But Singletary was pretty interesting when I asked him about his on-field verbal scrap with former 49ers lineman Harvey Dahl–complete with gesturing and pointing–and why he called those timeouts at the end of the game, down by 35. By the way, Singletary’s players totally had his back on the Dahl incident–Manny Lawson said [...]

49ers head coach Mike Singletary argues with the official in the 2nd quarter. SAN FRANCISCO -- The San Francisco 49ers' leader knows he lost his cool. Mike Singletary became so frustrated with his team's poor play he couldn't help himself but to verbally respond to former 49er Harvey Dahl when the offensive lineman engaged the coach near the San Francisco sideline with Atlanta driving downfield again....

We've got a whole host of notes and quotes from today's game. Before the jump are the notes, after the jump are the quotes. Forcing The Issue LB Patrick Willis registered 2 forced fumbles in the third quarter. The 2 forced fumbles were the first of the season for Willis and the fourth and fifth of his career. @ Date: October 1, 2009 Time: 1:05pm PST Location: Bill Walsh Field @ Candlestick Park, San Francisco, CA Records: 49ers (3-1) Falcons (2-1) Bodoglife.com Spread : 49ers -2.5; Over/Under 40.5; Money Line: 49ers -140, Falcons +120 - A 2.5 point spread is rather interesting. The home team automatically gets 3 points. So I guess oddsmakers view the Falcons as just a touch better minus the home field....

More photos » by Jeff Roberson - AP Browse more photos » A few weeks back we were discussing Seattle Seahawks TE John Carlson and defending him, given his abilities. This week, the 49ers face a better tight end in a better offense, so that discussion takes on a whole new meaning. Tony Gonzalez is what John Carlson aspires to be, and the Falcons ' offense he's apart of has the ability to...

We've got the final injury report for the week and the only big change is several probable players for the 49ers . Having seen the practice reports, and now seeing this lit, probable players really end up being no big deal. However, it sounds like with Marques Harris and Reggie Smith out, Curtis Taylor supposedly might be activated this week. It sounds like it would be primarily for special teams work,...

The 49ers remain a bit banged up this week. I remain convinced part of the reason Dave Baas is struggling is the continued injury issues. I realize he's been practicing a bit (or fully as in today) and playing each week, but it can't be easy to get into a sufficient rhythm to be a successful player. I'd love to hear other opinions, but Baas has definitely struggled and he has definitely been banged...

Those of you who aren't particularly fond of The Vulture can engage in a little bit of schadenfreude this morning, courtesy of Brett effing Fav-re. [O]n Sunday, Favre's 32-yard touchdown pass to Greg Lewis with two seconds remaining in the game was exactly what we expect from the future Hall of Famer. In a game in which the 49ers contained Adrian Peterson, lost Frank Gore and unleashed Vernon Davis,...
