by Tony Dejak - AP View full size photo » It's a long list for each team this week. The Green Bay Packers have 17 players listed, and the 49ers 13. But most of the injuries are not serious, and nearly everyone is expected to play. For the Packers, it's been a rough week of practice. Both RT Allen Barbre and OL Evan Dietrich-Smith were injured during practice , and I'm not expecting either of...

We're two days away from a monstrous game for the 49ers and we've got our final injury report of the week. A whole lot of probable players, but not much beyond that. Barrows thinks we'll see Matt Wilhelm starting at the Ted linebacker spot over Takeo Spikes , who remains "day-to-day." Wilhelm was solid last Thursday as a mid-game replacement for Spikes, so let's hope it carries over to Sunday....

Thursday Night Football returns tonight with another riveting matchup: MIami Dolphins @ Carolina Panthers . One has to wonder if we'll get a better performance this week than we saw with the 49ers and Bears last week. Either way, it's a big game since the Carolina Panthers are involved. The Panthers are 3 point favorites, and a loss would be huge for draft pick purposes. It's going to be an interesting...

It was the same, frustrating drill for Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley every day last week: a member of the team's medical staff would fiddle with his knee a little bit, then shake his head in disapproval. He wasn't going to practice. It felt even worse, Finley said, during warmups for Sunday's critical game against Dallas. His team needed him, and he wasn't on the field. "I was...

After last week's short week, we return to a fairly normal practice report (instead of Monday being the Wednesday injury report). The biggest non-practice info for the Packers is that defensive end Cullen Jenkins sat out practice today. He played last week and I think it's safe to say he's getting some veteran's rest. Other than that, the Packers had some limited guys, but most of those folks usually...

by Don Heupel - AP View full size photo » It's a long injury report for the Green Bay Packers . Despite the fact the Cowboys have 5 starters on their injury report, all of them are expected to play. Only ex-Packer KR Allen Rossum is out. The Packers have 4 players out, including starters LB Aaron Kampman and RT Mark Tauscher . I'm not a fan of LB Brady Poppinga , but he's out too. Also, TE Jermichael...

Green Bay — Mark Tauscher's 11-month wait was finally over. Green Bay's right tackle for the majority of the past decade was back home Sunday, fully recovered from a left ACL tear that had threatened his playing career. And for just more than 30 minutes of football, it seemed like old times. Tauscher held up well against Bucs left defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson and the Packers moved the ball up...
