Well, maybe not the Packers o-line. Anyway, the 49ers made some moves yesterday, though I'm not sure how to take them. Or rather, I'm not sure how I feel about losing T Tony Pashos to IR. I mean of course it's never good to see somebody hurt but at the same time I feel that he wasn't playing so well at RT and his promotion to starter came because he was simply there. Still, does this mean Barry Sims...

The San Francisco 49ers today announced that they have placed T Tony Pashos on the Injured Reserve List. Pashos suffered a fractured scapula in Sunday’s game at Houston. Pashos was signed by the 49ers on September 7, 2009, and went on to appear in five games, starting for the first time this past week at Houston. They have since signed T Chris Patrick from the Chiefs practice squad to fill his...

@ Date: October 1, 2009 Time: 1:05pm PST Location: Bill Walsh Field @ Candlestick Park, San Francisco, CA Records: 49ers (3-1) Falcons (2-1) Bodoglife.com Spread : 49ers -2.5; Over/Under 40.5; Money Line: 49ers -140, Falcons +120 - A 2.5 point spread is rather interesting. The home team automatically gets 3 points. So I guess oddsmakers view the Falcons as just a touch better minus the home field....

(AP Photo/Charles Krupa) Browse more photos » It's time to get back in the saddle, this time against a tough defensive team that would like very much to prove it's a contender. Sound familiar? It's been a crazy week around The Falcoholic, so I apologize for the lack of a couple of familiar features. The important...

We've got the final injury report for the week and the only big change is several probable players for the 49ers . Having seen the practice reports, and now seeing this lit, probable players really end up being no big deal. However, it sounds like with Marques Harris and Reggie Smith out, Curtis Taylor supposedly might be activated this week. It sounds like it would be primarily for special teams work,...

The 49ers remain a bit banged up this week. I remain convinced part of the reason Dave Baas is struggling is the continued injury issues. I realize he's been practicing a bit (or fully as in today) and playing each week, but it can't be easy to get into a sufficient rhythm to be a successful player. I'd love to hear other opinions, but Baas has definitely struggled and he has definitely been banged...

I think it'll be a defensive battle. So much so that I'd probably even take the under, even at 39. Weather : Room Temperature...

The final injury report for the week was just sent out and there are a couple interesting additions to it. Vikings WR Percy Harvin has been dealing with some sort of illness and has missed practice the last couple days. While it's true that rookie receivers take time to develop in the NFL, I think that a receiver with Harvin's skill-set is a bit of a different case. Aside from being used on short routes...

Think Seattle's starters shouldn't be returning kicks? Think valuable players at positions without depth especially should not be returning kick? I think we can add Josh Wilson to the list of players injured while returning. Marques Harris ankle tackled Wilson and Wilson did not return for the second half.

The 49ers square off this Sunday with a Vikings squad that hasn't had too many major injury problems. As this report shows, the biggest no show at practice was middle linebacker E.J. Henderson . Adrian Peterson was limited, but I'd imagine he'll definitely be playing on Sunday. Frank Gore was limited in practice because of his ankle, but again, I don't see him missing Sunday's game. Brandon Jones is...

Tight end Vernon Davis has been selected as one of the San Francisco 49ers captains, coming a long way since being kicked off the field by Mike Singletary with more than 10 minutes remaining against Seattle last October for behavior the coach didn't like. In fact, the excitable Davis has come a long way just since training camp. A regular fighter during his first three NFL seasons, he scuffled with...
