Over the first 8 weeks of the NFL season, the Bucs have signed three different kickers to handle the kickoffs and field goal attempts. Sadly, two have failed thus far, Nugent and Andrus, with Connor Barth being the latest to be called on to put an oblong object through two yellow poles. Funny thing about the ending to this one, there was a little foreshadowing for the game that followed. Because Bengal kicker Shane Graham lined up for a 60+ yard FG attempt that wasnt even close. The next week, Matt Bryant WOULD hit a 62 yarder. The man on the TV lied. He said "All you have to do is watch and listen". Well I had to do a whole lot more when I was watching this 2006 sun-scorching thriller; Philadelphia at Tampa Bay. FROM NOW ON, I'm resolving not to hand-wring over what should be easy wins. So even though the 15-point spread is an awful lot against a team that probably should have beaten the Redskins Sunday, I'm going to assume the Birds are good for it. Donovan McNabb will have to be extremely rusty for this game to be competitive. Matt Bryant is no longer the Bucs' kicker, though they do still have Ronde Barber....
