Oliver Sacks and NOVA

Just a quick reminder to watch the season premiere of NOVA tonight on PBS. It features Oliver Sacks and a few of the patients described in Musicophilia, including Tony Cicoria, an orthopedic surgeon who became obsessed with classical piano after being struck by lightning. I found the show quite compelling - NOVA was kind enough to send me a preview DVD - so be sure to tune in. For me, the most affecting...

Post Minicamp Roster Prediction

I haven't done a roster prediction in a while, and there is no better time than after minicamp. This will be tough, especially for the D-line. Remember seeing David Patton set an NFL record by catching, throwing, and running in a touchdown in one game! Remember 2002, when Jeremy Shockey ran over then-Colts safety David Gibson like a wrecking ball plowing...

Colts are a tough, resilient bunch

Back-up safety Matt Giordano did a great job filling in for Bob Sanders Sunday. Photo (cropped): Colts.com One of the things I took away from the Broncos game is how resilient the Colts are, and by resilient I mean not just from a mental standpoint but from a depth standpoint. I enjoy reading JasonB's Bleeding Green Nation blog, but a post by him recently regarding injuries factoring into Philly's...
