On the Steelers' drive in overtime it was 3rd and 2 they ran Mewelde Moore to the right to try and get the edge. Why not keep Rashard Mendenhal in the game or try to run Willie Parker around the edge?

KC _ FG Succop 22; 5 plays, 76 yards, 1:32 drive time, 8:28 remaining. Pittsburgh won the coin toss and took over on its 20 after a touchback. Two Mendenhall runs and a pass to Ward pushed the Steelets past midfield. Roethlisberger then was hit in the head on a scramble on a play where Pittsburgh was called for holding. Charlie Batch came in to replace Roethlisberger with the Steelers facing a second...

via media.kansascity.com NFL locker rooms are full of physical freaks. I’m not talking circus style freaks, but just remarkable physical specimens. There are little guys who have thigh muscles bigger around than some people’s waists. There are big guys who have enough fast twitch fibers in their body that they can run faster than guys who weigh 100 pounds less. Lance Long just doesn’t...

(Last time they met, Cincinnati fans emailed that we were all offended by the "Bungles" references. Hey, lighten up, people, it's a Pittsburgh thing. It's a Cope thing. At least I didn't call them the Wicky-Wackys. . . ) 12:59 p.m.: Tamara Tunie of "Law & Order SVU", also of McKeesport and Carnegie Mellon, sang the national anthem with a military flyover above. Make it three straight victories for the defending champion Pittsburgh Steelers . I wrote three weeks ago after the Steelers lost to the Bengals that we should remember how dynamic and fluid the 16 game NFL regular season is and to just hope that the team posted some victories as they sorted through some of their problems on both sides of the ball. The Baltimore Ravens were 3-0 when I wrote that, but...

Steelers RB Mewelde Moore isn't expected to start Week 6 against the Browns, but he might find some playing time anyway. Second-year running back Rashard Mendenhall is ill and might not play, leaving Willie Parker to start. And, the matchup is against the Browns, which means Moore might see carries in the second half if the game is a blowout.
