Pulling in another one from the scrap heap : In addition to Deltha O'Neal and Jason Webster , the Texans are bringing in free agent CB Mike McKenzie for a tryout. O'Neal might get the first look because he was with Gary Kubiak in Denver, but McKenzie has played the best football lately. Houston is also looking at free agent runners Andre Hall and Brad Lester. Lester wasn't drafted in April.

Brian Ruddell is the new president of the Peoria Public Library board of trustees. The board approved his nomination at its meeting Tuesday night, ending the 3 1/2-year term as president of Mike McKenzie, who was named the new board vice president. McKenzie was instrumental in helping get public support and then City Council approval of the library's ongoing $28 million systemwide overhaul.

The Dolphins seem to want to still add a veteran CB before the start of the 2009 season, and as the Miami Herald points out today, there’s a couple they are still keeping their eyes on: The Dolphins have kept tabs and spoken casually with agents about a few unsigned cornerbacks, primarily Mike McKenzie and Travis [...]

From now until training camp there won't be much breaking news if you even consider all the crap we hear from Kiln, Mississippi as news. So I thought it would be a fun thing to just look back on fairly recent, but not too recent seasons for the Packers and reminisce about them. 2001 seems to fit within that criteria, and it was a very good year for the Packers, so why not start with it. For me, number...

A 98-year-old South Peoria library branch built with money from famed philanthropist Andrew Carnegie is officially a historic landmark. By a unanimous vote Tuesday, the City Council endorsed a measure to add the Lincoln branch library to its list of historic landmarks. “I don’t think anyone has any question whatsoever that one of the few remaining Carnegie libraries in the area is a historic...
