The Jets waived four players today to get down to the roster limit of 75. Here are the cuts: OL Thaddeus Coleman DB Ron Girault RB Rodney Kinlaw RB Musa Smith Musa Smith was expected to compete for the 3rd running back position. Jesse Chatman had a very strong camp and received most of the snaps in the preseason games.

Mark Cannizarro reports in the NY Post that the Jets are interested in yet another free agent Running Back, Musa Smith. Like Jesse Chatman, Smith has really only ever carried the ball as a reserve. Smith’s 6′0″ 230 frame give him flexibility to play at FB or RB.
