It's been well-documented that the Chiefs have done very little this offseason. According to the DMN blog, the Cowboys cut FB Oliver Hoyte. The Cowboys announced the signing of Zach Thomas today, and the ouster of FB Oliver Hoyte... Hoyte started 14 of his 24 games as a Cowboy, but in this day and age, the need to have two fullbacks on the roster just isn't there anymore. No surprise, I predicted this when I reviewed the fullbacks earlier in the offseason.

Dallas Cowboys FB Oliver Hoyte was ruled out for Monday night's game against Buffalo. Hoyte has a neck injury that kept him out of the previous two games. He had been listed as doubtful. The team previously said it would be without CB Anthony Henry, S Courtney Brown and WR Terry Glenn, who hasn't played all season. Miami Dolphins

The Cowboys were in shells this afternoon for what was a pretty lively practice. Ken Hamlin and Roy Williams decided to add a little contact to the proceedings by popping a couple of receivers in the 7-on-7 drill, and we had a mini-scuffle between Oliver Hoyte and Joey Thomas. I think these guys are ready to hit someone in a jersey that doesn't have the star on it. Thursday can't get here soon enough...
