Raiders RB Justin Fargas (hamstring) and starting kick returner Nick Miller (shin splints) are among the Raiders' inactive players for tonight's game against San Diego. Fargas' absence should mean even more carries for starter Darren McFadden and backup Michael Bush . With Miller out, RB Louis Rankin is expected to return kicks. Raiders rookie TE Brandon Meyers and OG Paul McQuistan are also inactive...
Were they handing out free Muscle Milk at Jack London Square and nobody told me? Many Raiders were nowhere to be found when the team convened for an OTA practice this morning. Here's a list of the missing, and I'm probably forgetting someone: CB Nnamdi Asomugha, QBs Jeff Garcia and Andrew Walter, RB Darren McFadden, DEs Derrick Burgess and Jay Richardson, DTs Tommy Kelly, Gerard Warren (Warren watched...
No, not this year's. We've discussed it to death, haven't we? I was looking over the last several years, and most of these players are at least still playing for the Raiders (although that 2002 draft didn't work out for them so well). Some of them are even starting for other teams. 2008 1. Darren McFadden , RB, Arkansas 4a. Tyvon Branch , DB, Connecticut 4b. Arman Shields , WR, Richmond 6. Trevor Scott...
As we continue the on going “camp battles” series we will find that the starting offensive tackles will have their work cut out for them this year as they will be given the task of protecting JaMarcus Russell. Both tackle positions are up in the air as the warhorse Barry Sims has moved over to [...]
To say that the Raiders offensive line was improved would be a major understatement. Tom Cable’s blocking scheme along with a move to guard has brought out the best in Robert Gallery. Near the end of the season, Paul McQuistan seemed to find a home at right tackle. Jeremy Newberry's glass knees had another year [...]
Most improved Raider in 2007? That's a no-brainer; how about the entire offensive line? Kudos to Barry Sims, Robert Gallery, Jeremy Newberry, Cooper Carlisle, Cornell Green, Paul McQuistan, and Chris Morris....
The Offensive Line showed themselves to be quite capable and at times dominant in 2007. Cornell Green's injury opened the door for the Raider Lineman that would win my most improved player award in 2007, Paul McQuistan. McQuistan solidified the right side of the line. To prognosticate that this team would be #5 in rushing in the NFL and would go 3 entire games in a row without yielding a sack would...
Oakland right tackle Cornell Green was put on injured reserve with a season-ending ankle injury, and the Raiders signed Seth Wand to take his roster spot. As for his lineup spot, Paul McQuistan or Robert Gallery are the top candidates....
