Tonight the Kansas City Chiefs waived receiver and sixth round draft pick Quinten Lawrence . Receiver and former Arizona Cardinal Lance Long was promoted from the practice squad to take his place. Lawrence comes from McNeese State and was tabbed a speed guy early on. He's seen time at returner and receiver, as well as rushing the ball once. He's been activated in just two games this season so he is...

Hi folks, Shen's News : Last days in Japan, such a wonderful time. In the last few days I was blessed to accompany Steve Oda, 35 years' sarod student of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, twice. Blogs coming soon, I promise. From previous weeks, I've posted photos and stories about Tenzin's tour of Japan: parts 1 , 2 and 3 , plus Gifu Sangeet Mela 2009 . I'll be back in Brisbane on Thursday morning and have some...

Hi folks, Shen's News : Well, Tenzin has come and gone and Japan will never be the same again. :-) Slight exaggeration, but we had a really great time and he made a huge impression on everyone who came to our shows. It was a really great experience for me to be play with Tenzin almost every day for a week, and along with bansuri player Taro Terahara we developed a really tight act. As usual I'm a bit...

Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com first brought us the news. Long was signed to Arizona as an undrafted free agent...

With the addition of Bobby Wade reportedly happening today, I thought it would be a good time to do a quick review of how we ended up with the receivers that we did. Obviously, this position has been a revolving door the last nine months with the exception of Dwayne Bowe and Mark Bradley , the only two leftovers from the '08 squad. There have been players entering their second season that were released...

When the Kansas City Chiefs released second year tackle Barry Richardson yesterday, it was to make room for newcomer Ryan O'Callaghan . Many of us thought the move was made under the assumption that Richardson would clear waivers and return to the team as a member of the practice squad. Looks like we were right . Barry Richardson is the eighth and final member of the Chiefs practice squad. The other...
