Tuesday Notes: Copeland Bryan Has MCL Sprain

The trade deadline is at 4 p.m., and so far it doesn't appear that there are even whispers of a trade by the Lions. Jim Schwartz did say that the Lions are "open to everything," but as of right now I haven't heard even a single trade rumor. Defensive end Copeland Bryan sprained his right knee's MCL during Sunday's loss to the Packers. That is the same injury that Steelers safety Troy Polamalu...

Schwartz makes strange call, won't discuss injuries

Reporters had a strange exchange with Lions coach Jim Schwartz after today's practice. When we asked about some player injuries, mainly concerning kicker Jason Hanson's status, Schwartz said he would not discuss any injuries and would only list them on the daily afternoon injury report. Not really sure why this has to be the case. If Schwartz wants to protect his players against...

2009 Roster Overview

Disclaimer: This is my original work, sorry for the long post. http://www.studyofsports.com/?p=2413 Before I begin, I'd like to address my absence from this website. I went into what I like to call a "sports coma" after the Red Wings lost game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals. Combined with the end of the Pistons' dynasty, the embarrassment of the Michigan Wolverines football season, and,...
