In a post that I realize is extremely premature, I thought it would be fun to take a look at the Skins current roster and start evaluating all of the upcoming free agents this year. There are a lot of players on the fence at this point in my mind, and I'll be curious to get everyone else's feedback. The current list of Redskins free agents include: Jason Campbell , Levi Jones , Casey Rabach , Stephon...

It was another case of Men vs. Boys at the Metrodome on Sunday, as the Vikings continued their march to the playoffs with a 35-9 stomping of the Seattle Seahawks. They looked excellent in all phases of the game. The defense completely kept Seattle out of the game, as the Seahawks didn't get into Vikings territory until the end of the third quarter. And it was a memorable game for Number Four. The Vikes...

It's late in the third quarter, the Minnesota Vikings are leading the Seattle Seahawks, but the Vikings' starting QB has come out of the game. Is Brett Favre injured? Has his 40-year-old body finally succumbed to the rigors of a long NFL season? Is this the beginning of his predicted late-season fade, expected by lots of folks based on his poor performance in the final games of last season with the...

More photos » by Andy King - AP Browse more photos » When Tarvaris Jackson is getting some third quarter playing time, and it's not because Brett Favre has been knocked out of the game, you know the Vikings have controlled the game and are winning convincingly. That was the case this afternoon, as the Vikings dominated the Seahawks in the first half and cruised to an easy win. Sure, there...

After Vikings starter Brett Favre threw four touchdowns in three quarters, QB Tarvaris Jackson played the entire fourth quarter and did well, completing 6 of 8 passes for 77 yards with a touchdown to Sidney Rice . He also had 5 rush yards.

Vikings QB Brett Favre only played three quarters against the Seahawks in Week 11, but it was more than enough. Completing 22 of 25 passes, Favre threw for 213 yards with four touchdowns to four different receivers. He now has 21 touchdowns through 10 weeks, one less than his entire 2008 total with the Jets. Tarvaris Jackson finished the game for the Vikings.

This could be an unusual offseason for the NFL. If a new CBA is not reached by March, the 2010 season will be an uncapped year. As Tarvaris Jackson and Ray Edwards are discovering, that's not as good as it once sounded.

Vikings backup QB Tarvaris Jackson came on late in Sunday's game against Detroit to replace Brett Favre in garbage time. He was 0 of 2 passing and had three carries for minus-3 yards.

Eight games down and eight games to go. We are at the mid-point of the regular season, a perfect time to reflect on how well the Minnesota Vikings have done the first half of the 2009 campaign. Quarterback – A With the exception of a couple of mop-up-duty stints for Tarvaris Jackson, Brett Favre has taken all [...]

If you scroll down a few posts you’ll see that I have quarterback as the Vikings top draft need. This is based off of the possibility of both Brett Favre and Tarvaris Jackson being off the roster next season. Also, the pickings are incredibly slim in free agency at the quarterback position. I have safety as [...]

It appears only one NFC team stands in the Vikings' way at the halfway point of the season. Here are their cheerleaders. View full size photo » If you gave every NFL team the option of when they wanted their bye week, I'm guessing most teams would pick Week 9 because it is the precise median of the 17-week NFL season. Thankfully, the Vikings get that perfect weekend of to kick back and enjoy...

John David Booty had a pretty interesting career with the Vikings. He got drafted, sat for a year on the bench behind Tarvaris Jackson and Gus Frerotte, watched Frerotte leave and probably thought he had a decent shot at being the #2 in 2009… Saw the team trade for Sage Rosenfels (ugh) then sign Brett Favre [...]

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. – Remember Brett Favre's first answer to Vikings coach Brad Childress? My body isn't up for this, he said. Six weeks later, Minnesota's new quarterback wants to remind the football world just how old he is. "I may not finish the year. If you would have asked me my first year if I would finish I'd have said, 'I may not,'" Favre said. "No one thought I'd play 18 straight years without...
