Terrell Owens attacks the the coaching staff. Felix Jones is gone for the year. And now Terence Newman injured his groin and he may not play Sunday. What a week for the Dallas Cowboys. Let’s start with Owens: Apparently, the interview Sunday with Deion Sanders is going to be a doozy. We have no idea what Owens may say, but [...]

It's hard to believe, but we've got another injury problem. Terence Newman returned from surgery last week to play one of his better career games by shutting gown Santana Moss. Now, it's Newman who may be shutdown for this weekend's game. He strained a groin muscle but not the one he just had surgery on. Terence Newman did not practice Friday because of a groin injury suffered in Thursday's practice,...

I'm encouraged by news that Terence Newman will return healthy this week. I've reviewed the Redskins tape from week four and Washington's first half tear came almost exclusively against him. Newman has averaged 6.3 in YPA the past four years. As KC Joyner noted in his Thursday chat, the injured Newman posted a 9.9 YPA the first month. That's backup- level and by far the worst number Newman has ever...

The Cowboys return a lot of starters this week: Terence Newman in the secondary and Tony Romo calling signals . Both of those guys are huge part's of the defense and offense respectively. But another critical return is Kyle Kosier to the left guard spot . "I think it will be very big having Kyle back," Gurode said. "Playing with a guy a number of years and then him coming back definitely helps us out....

Felix Jones has been ruled out for tomorrow night's game in D.C. However, Terence Newman is back and ready to go. Considering how the Cowboys have struggled in slowing down Santana Moss, who has 3 straight 100-yard receiving games against Dallas, it's important to have Newman back on the field. And Newman has a score to settle from their last encounter week 4. "I’m coming out straight ballin’," Newman...

We've spent the past month fretting over injuries and how they have put a damper on the season. Of course injuries haven't been the full extent of our problems but they had an effect. Getting Tony Romo, Terence Newman and Kyle Kosier back should put a smile - or at least a mild grin - on the faces of Cowboys fans. If you want to go to full smile with teeth showing, give me Felix Jones on the field...

USA Today has updated its 2008 Salary Chart and there are five Dallas Cowboys in the top 25. You can see it for yourself here, but Flozell Adams, Tony Romo, Terence Newman, Marion Barber and Terrell Owens are all on the list. Adams is having a mediocre year, Romo is playing slightly above average football, Marion [...]

Mike Jenkins won’t be starting in two weeks when the Dallas Cowboys return from the bye to face the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field. The rookie wussy isn’t being benched because of his soft play, but because Terence Newman is expected to return and take his job back. In other news, the Dallas Cowboys do not [...]

Let's face it, this game has us all worried. This would be a tough game even if we had all of our starters playing but now we face the defending Super Bowl champs without Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Terence Newman, Roy Williams, Kyle Kosier and Felix Jones. The thought of watching Brad Johnson try to play against this Giant's defense makes my stomach queasy. It's mind-numbing to think of how many quality...

The Dallas Cowboys have a depleted secondary with Anthony Henry, Terence Newman and Roy Williams all injured. Two rookies are seeing considerable playing time, but if one of them gets injured, the Cowboys are in deep trouble. Unemployed and former Chiefs cornerback Ty Law is waiting. The 34-year-old is even lobbying to come to Dallas. “I can [...]

Nick Eatman has a long interview with Terence Newman. T-New is anxious to get back on the field and he discusses a wide-range of subjects in the article. Brian Stewart basically says nothing about his "demotion." Brad Johnson needs to play better this week than last, that's for sure. If not, we might have to turn to Brooks Bollinger . I told DCFanatic on the phone this week that Bollinger pulling...

The Dallas Cowboys defense has suffered some injuries early in the season. Terence Newman, Roy Williams, Anthony Spencer, etc. have missed games and/or currently are out. Plus, Adam "Pacman" Jones is out indefinitely (and will probably never play in Big D again). The Cowboys are giving up the 9th-most points per game at 25.0. The Cowboys also have only 2 interceptions on the season (only Seattle and...

Aside from Tony Romo being out up to a month , the Cowboys have been decimated with injuries this weekend: Mat McBriar: out 6-8 weeks with fractured right foot Sam Hurd: out "for a while" and will have ankle surgery Felix Jones: out 2-4 weeks with strained hamstring Terence Newman was already out a month after sports hernia surgery. When it rains, it pours...
