The Vikings have signed the second linebacker that they had a past relationship with in a week, as they've brought back former starting middle linebacker Napoleon Harris. Harris signed a one-year deal. Harris, if you'll remember, originally came to the Vikings in the Randy Moss trade prior to the 2005 Draft, and was the starter for the Raiders at that spot the last time they went to the Super Bowl....

Minnesota Vikings. We did the math on this like 10 times because we simply couldn’t accept the fact a team quarterbacked by Tarvaris Jackson and Gus Frerotte could be the second most watchable team in the league. But upon a closer look, it made some sense. Four of their six games have been decided by less than a touchdown. Adrian Peterson might be the most exciting player in the league. And big things...

A resolution has been reached in the Thomas Tapeh situation. The fullback, whom the Vikings signed in the off-season only to learn he had undergone undisclosed knee surgery, has reached a settlement with the team and been given his release. No details have yet been given but we presume Tapeh had to pay back some [...]

It’s beginning to look like Brad Childress and the Vikings got taken for a ride by Thomas Tapeh, the man they signed away from Philly in the off-season as a replacement for Tony Richardson. Tapeh, who’s supposedly a good blocking back and decent receiver, got a 5-year, $6 million contract from the Purple, including a [...]

Coming into the season there weren't very many starting spots up for grabs on this Eagles team. In fact, if you assume like I do that Stewart Bradley won his starting job last year there really was only one job was likely to see a new starter. Fullback. When the Eagles allowed Thomas Tapeh to walk at the end of the year they stocked the fullback position with a host of possibilites with the idea that...

Today we will take a look at the fullback and tight end positions for the Philadelphia Eagles. The fullback position seems to be wide open for Jason Davis and Luke Lawton. Last season’s incumbent Thomas Tapeh is now a member of the Minnesota Vikings. The tight end position is L.J. Smith’s to lose as Brent [...]

Tarvaris Jackson's practice ( Star Tribune ). Just tell me how I'm supposed to feel ( Access Vikings ). I'm really tired of the report card format for any type of team evaluation. Thomas Tapeh battled doubts as he healed from a dislocated hip, a rare NFL injury, but later landed in the ideal spot.

MANKATO, Minn. - Every summer since Thomas Tapeh left the University of Minnesota for the NFL, he would return home to St. Paul to throw a Fourth of July barbecue for his family and friends.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - One of the less-talked-about competitions that figure to take place during summer training camp is at fullback, where the Eagles are trying to replace Thomas Tapeh, who is now with the Vikings, with someone who also can be a major contributor on special teams.

Yes. . .finally, after many delays, we are back into the projection of the Minnesota Vikings' 53-man roster. We've done the entirety of the offense and special teams, so let's review who we currently have on the team. QB Tarvaris Jackson QB Gus Frerotte QB John David Booty FB Thomas Tapeh FB Jeff Dugan HB Adrian Peterson HB Chester Taylor HB Maurice Hicks WR Bernard Berrian WR Sidney Rice WR Bobby...

AS LITTLE AS the Eagles tend to use their fullback, you would think they'd be less picky. Yesterday, the team announced it had acquired fullback Luke Lawton from the Colts for a conditional draft choice. That means the Birds now have a quartet of players vying to succeed Thomas Tapeh, who was allowed to depart for Minnesota in free agency, at least somewhat because he couldn't contribute on special...

Okay, back into the swing of the roster projection here. Thus far we've filled 9 roster spots out of our 53. Here's who's in so far: QB Tarvaris Jackson QB Gus Frerotte QB John David Booty HB Adrian Peterson HB Chester Taylor HB Maurice Hicks FB Thomas Tapeh FB Naufahu Tahi FB Jeff Dugan And yes, I did debate whether to put Dugan in the FB category or the TE category. I finally placed him with the...
