The Steelers have made it official – safety Troy Polamalu is out for the Ravens game with a strained posterior cruciate ligament. The Steelers also ruled out offensive guard Chris Kemoeatu (sprained medial collateral ligament) and quarterback Charlie Batch (left wrist). Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (concussion) and defensive end Travis Kirschke (calf) are questionable.

The Chiefs' inactive list for today's game contains no bombshells. The five players on their injured list (linebackers Mike Vrabel, David Herron and Justin Rogers, offensive lineman Andy Alleman and running back Dantrell Savage) won't play. Neither will either of two rookies, cornerback Donald Washington and tight end Jake O'Connell. Matt Gutierrez is the third quarterback. The Steelers will play without...

Steelers safety Troy Polamalu did not practice all week because of a left knee injury and will not play Sunday in Kansas City. He may miss the following week's game at Baltimore as well. Polamalu sat out the Steelers' second through fifth games with a ligament tear, only to injure the same knee during an 18-12 loss to Cincinnati last Sunday. Polamalu's latest injury is to a different ligament. He wore...

11:35 a.m.: INACTIVES include FB Carey Davis (hamstring), starting DE Travis Kirschke (calf), CB Keiwan Ratliff, G Kraig Urbik, OT Tony Hills, DE Sunny Harris, WR Shaun McDonald with Dennis Dixon as the No. 3 quarterback. All of which means: WR Limas Sweed is active again. We'll see if the one thing he can grab is an opponent's jersey for the second time in a week. So that makes Nick Eason the starter...

Some Friday Steeler tidbits from John Harris of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: • Asked about former Steelers coach Bill Cowher’s preseason prediction that Cincinnati would win the AFC North, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said with a straight face, “He’s a mastermind. Obviously, he knew something we didn’t know.” • Defensive end Travis Kirschke missed another...

Four and down4. The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Denver Broncos in the rarified air of Invesco Field at Mile High by a convincing 28-10. The Broncs had an impressive 6-1 record going into the game while the 5-2 Steelers were missing four defensive players: Ryan Clark, Lawrence Timmons, Travis Kirschke and Aaron Smith (Smith is gone for the season). Still Denver could not capitalize. They scored a

Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening, we'll (TRY TO) update the practice/injury chart leading up to Sunday's game. The chart is pretty self-explanatory. If the player is listed as out, they're out for the game. If they did not participate, they didn't practice. If they were limited, then they only participated during a portion of practice (typically means missing 11-on-11 drills). If the player...
