NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Pairing Chris Johnson and Vince Young in the same backfield is turning into a very potent combination. Johnson ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns, and he caught nine passes for 100 more and the Tennessee Titans beat the Buffalo Bills 41-17 Sunday for their third straight victory. The Titans (3-6) are on a roll since opening the season 0-6, and they can thank Johnson, the...

Every Coach's Dream needs to have a good game. (Joe Robbins/Getty Images) View full size photo » Hmm...let's see...run the ball? This is really the key to winning considering the matchup problem. The Bills allow an NFL worst 173.6 rushing yards on 34 carries per game, while Chris Johnson runs an NFL best 119.9 yards on just 18 carries per game. The Bills actually allow more rush yards per game...

by Wade Payne - AP View full size photo » Run the ball. We have to see if Chris Johnson can get anything against this great 49ers defense that allows only 85 yards per game on the ground. If anyone can do it, the leading rusher in the NFL can. Running the ball will also keep the pressure off Vince Young in his second start in two years. The Titans will be much better off relying on Chris Johnson...

Nothing surprising to close out the week. The 49ers would appear to be getting Reggie Smith back for Sunday's game, which is a nice little shot in the arm for a secondary that has had injury issues much of the season. If Smith is active and playing I'm really curious to see how the team utilizes him, given Nate Clements injury. Mark Roman moved his way up to primary safety backup, so if Roman remains...
