The only words out of Vincent Jackson's mouth, though few in number, proved succinct enough. Without ever hearing the question, he pretty much summed up his day as a Chargers wide receiver.

Without ever hearing the question, Vincent Jackson pretty much summed up his day as a Chargers wide receiver Sunday against Atlanta: “Not today.”

Saints Defense First Drive (3 plays, 0 yards, 0:10, Punt) This drive looks great on paper but it could have been much worse. Vincent Jackson completely burns Aaron Glenn but drops the ball just off his fingertips for what probably would have been a score. Charles Grant drops back and makes a nice diving play on the ball in the backfield and almost makes the pick. Pretty impressive for Charles. Not...

Q: Will Ladainian Tomlinson final...oh, how about something new? Can WR Vincent Jackson follow-up last week's 150+ yard effort with another #1WR quality game? A: No, WR Vincent Jackson can't have consectutive #1WR production games. However, he did catch a TD pass and ran for 31 more yards. In a typical PPR yardage league, VJax contributed 17 points. FWIW, RB Ladainian Tomlinson is still disappointing....

Vincent Jackson is the player many inside the Chargers organization hold up as an example of what kind of strides Buster Davis could make in the next year or so.

Thanks to stellar play from Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd, the Chargers were able to pump the ball down the field early and often Sunday night.

Both Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd are an inch taller than the 6-foot-4 Randy Moss, and each used his speed as well as his size to full advantage.

Filed under: Chargers , Patriots It's crazy that 134 yards -- Vincent Jackson 's Sunday night total -- is the most receiving yards for a San Diego wideout since 2003. I mean, it's not that crazy I guess, but it does tell you how understaffed the Chargers wide receiver corps has been for the past few years. Another theme over the past few years for the Chargers has been getting whipped on by the Patriots....
