Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to really flesh this out at the moment, but I wanted to deliver this news as fast as possible. The Falcons released Ben Hartsock , our best blocking tight end, along with cornerback Von Hutchins and defensive end Willie Evans . I don't need to tell you that Hartsock's release is a huge surprise, and must indicate that Tony Gonzalez and Justin Peelle have shown...

via www.atlantafalcons.com Prediction time rears its ugly, boil-encrusted head once more. Alas, alack! This time we're going to look at perhaps the most wide open position on the entire roster. Last time we did this little exercise, William "C4" Moore ran away with the strong safety crown. Because there's so many more options at cornerback, I imagine the vote is going to go a little differently....

While he may not be the biggest piece of the puzzle, many think he'll be a critical one. The rationale goes like this: the Falcons didn't sign Hutchins to sit on the bench, even after the injury, and there's...

William Moore Will Wear Number 25 To Honor Fallen Friend Moving story about William "C4" Moore's tribute to a friend. Nice gesture by Von Hutchins and a move that, in my mind, speaks highly of Moore.

According to the Atlanta Falcons team website, Falcons rookie safety William Moore from Missouri will wear number 25, which will be given to him by cornerback Von Hutchins. In turn, Moore will make a donation to the Lupus Foundation of America. Hutchins' mother has lupus. "I would have done that anyway," he said when asked about his conversation with Hucthins and the subsequent donation....

Ben Hartsock, Von Hutchins Back In Action Tight end Ben Hartsock and giant cornerback question mark Von Hutchins are ready to go after suffering season-ending injuries in 2008. Hartsock will still be a major part of the offense, as he's one of the league's finest blockers. Hutchins will probably slot in somewhere on the cornerbacking depth chart, but where?

Cue up the AJC: Coach Mike Smith said Hutchins would be placed on injured reserve after the prognosis for his return was deemed to be four to six months. At some point during the season, you're likely to see Mike Smith fall to his knees like the star of a war movie and sob "They're just kids, man. They're just kids!" Now that Von is gone, the Falcons are going to war with easily the most...
