It's time now to vote for another member to be elected to our CSC All-Time Saints team. If you missed our second wide receiver nomination post yesterday you can catch it right here but I promise that you're not missing anything. Wayne Gandy was the only nomination yesterday so we'll add him to the players left from our first OT election. The polls will be open for exactly 48 hours which means they...

by JJ Cooper Filed under: Falcons , Titans , NFL Free Agency When Todd Weiner retired and Wayne Gandy got even older, the Falcons all of a sudden had a clear need for some depth at tackle. And if the Falcons are looking for a potentially reasonably priced tackle who could step in an start if needed, there is no better target than Titans' tackle Daniel Loper . Loper has only started one game in his...

Also, pretty smart of Biden to nbsp. Obama supporters took to the streets of Seattle Tuesday night to celebrate. But a slick move by Fine Gael's Cllr Patrick O'Donovan slipped in an amendment calling on the Taoi. To go back and try again. Wayne Gandy welcomes chance to play again. Qm div a hover, qm ul a hover. Forget winning a playoff game, which is something they are still working on, our goal is...

Sam Baker To Have Back Surgery, Out Indefinitely Damnit. The AJC is reporting that Sam Baker is having back surgery and will be sidelined indefinitely. Without him, the team will roll with Todd Weiner and possibly Wayne Gandy in the weeks ahead. Cross your fingers and hope Baker can come back this year, but I'm not optimistic at all.

ATLANTA, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Veteran free-agent offensive tackle Wayne Gandy, who left the Atlanta Falcons after suffering a knee injury in 2007, is back with the team. The Falcons signed Gandy Wednesday to help fill in for starting left tackle Sam Baker, who is out with a hip injury. In addition, backup Todd Weiner has been having knee problems. The 37-year-old Gandy played for the Falcons in 2006 and...

Falcons Bring Back Wayne Gandy The Falcons are clearly concerned enough about Todd Weiner's knees that they're willing to bring back Wayne Gandy, who is--how to put this delicately--old. The team also released TE Jason Rader to make this roster spot possible. Thoughts?

Falcons cut former starter Harrington The Atlanta Falcons released quarterback Joey Harrington on Wednesday. The move came only two days after the team released running back Warrick Dunn. Four-time Pro Bowl tight end Alge Crumpler, offensive tackle Wayne Gandy and quarterback Byron Leftwich were released last month. The release of Harrington, who started 10 games last season, may increase

Filed under: Falcons , NFC South , Atlanta , NFL Free Agency Of all the Falcons' recent cuts, only one doesn't make a whole lot of sense. While Wayne Gandy may have played his last snap, and Rod Coleman's best days are probably behind him, the Falcons decision to cut tight end Alge Crumpler seems to smack of retaliation as much as anything else. Cutting Crumpler will only save the Falcons $1.3 million...

Filed under: Bengals , AFC North , NFL Free Agency One man's garbage, as they say. Yesterday, the Falcons commenced with the fire sale releasing Rod Coleman, Wayne Gandy , Byron Leftwich and Alge Crumpler , among others. But it's the last name that might most interest the Bengals. Earlier this week, when not answering questions about when Chad Johnson might be traded, head coach Marvin Lewis indicated...
